"Your superior sounds like my kind of beings." Rubbing his beard and nodding in approval. "Though, I too have superiors I have to report to. Don't we all? Haha! I'm just the man who knows his role in the piece of the puzzle and doesn't complain!"

Marcus observes her movements, "So you are an assistant to your commander? Where do you belong in the piece of the puzzle? How did they acquire you Beastly? Did you came willingly or did they shackle you."

He pauses for a bit. "Do you miss your home planet?"

"Yes, we may seem free, but we are all chained to different masters... But at least you know your role..." She seemed to chuckle, a low purr escaping her chest.

The questions seems to catch her off guard. "In a way. I am one of the highest ranking generals back on my homeworld... But the puzzle is disorganized... the hierarchy is falling, and we are no longer set pieces with defined roles." A pause, and Volxun seemed to smile, at least as much as she could. "One could say I was shackled..." She growled, pressing a single claw against her iron collar. "Whatever they could salvage, they used in any way that they could... That's how most aliens conquer and destroy. They found my abilities suitable for the tasks they required and gave me the opportunity to prove my value by succeeding in the missions they provided... but I am still expendable as soon as I lay my feet back on their accursed land." The alien rumbled. Though malice dripped from her voice, dejected amusement bested the venom that threatened to escape her lips.

"No," she hissed, her chain rubbing against her paw as she ran it down the alloy surface. "Should my home planet burn, I shall watch with great interest... and then create something far superior to what they could ever hope to achieve..."

The Alien seemed to mull over a particular thought, before directing her attention towards Marcus once again. "You mention your exquisite rank... but if given the chance, would you lead even further? Would you hold your homeworld in your grasp and pursue your grand ideals, whatever they may be...?"

"Beastly. Sounds rough. Seems like you have a lot of history there. I don't mean to dig up old wounds" He roughly pats her. "You are a magnificent creature. You would be able to create something grand and far superior!" Marcus looks over at her chains. "These man made chains? You can't just break them? You can't just run away and be free?"

"As for me, you're right, I do know my role, and this position is great for me. Any higher it gets very political. Something I'm not getting into. I like to lead and be part of the battle."
