The goddess smiled, though her vermillion gaze remained just as beautiful, distant and frigid as the peak of a mountain. Her very presence commanded attention and respect, humbling even the bravest of men like a natural disaster. When swept away by a hurricane, reduced to ash by a wildfire, or buried by an avalanche—it was that very same mixture of terror and awe that the serpent god instilled in others, for her presence as the horror of Midgard had never been truly lost. Though the smoke screen of her beauty was unearthly, it could never fully obscure the monster beneath.

"You would do well not to carelessly make demands of the very force by which you have sworn yourself, Reaper."

The air itself seemed to grow heavy as the serpent's eyes flashed with frozen ire, but her charming smile did not waver.

"Once more you show your lack of awareness, fledgling," The serpent whispered, her tone harsh yet patient, as if a teacher reprimanding an unruly student. "Our actions are nothing if not the wishes of fate; and any lives we take are amendments to your flawed charter." Though her voice was even, her eyes turned dark with righteous fury, as the smile fell from her lips.

"My sister may be forgiving, but I am not. Be mindful of your words, for I will answer disrespect and violence with more of the same."
Then, as swiftly as the tempest had brewed—it dissipated, replaced once more by a friendly smile.

"Do take care."
