I think I may remember that braid was always there, perhaps? it's somewhere in the back of my mind. But, yes, it fits him perfectly, and you did such a good job

Of course! You always had an incredible ability to design characters and make everything fit perfectly, no matter how complex or simple the character itself was. I know whatever you do, you are going to do it just fine.
