Yeah. Since most of my art I get is requested (people offer freebs on a forum I frequent), I often just send them the easy-to-draw OCs, and save the ones with unique body types for comms when I can afford them, cuz then I get to be picky. 8D;;
Or at least, I get to request changes on WIPs before they get too far: most artists are open to that sort of thing, as long as I mention I'll be a lil picky beforehand.
Yeah. For me it's inevitable because like 3 out of my 5 main characters Not Thin(tm) so when I'm on like, Art Fight I just kinda stress it and hope for the best. It's worked for me there at least?
When I commission, I'm just really selective of who I pick and I need to see if they've drawn varied bodies/faces before.
Same here, though I still like to ask for WIPs to review first, just to make sure I don't end up disappointed, cuz I don't like asking for huge changes after a thing is finished. Feels rude to me.
