Uhhm, what do you guys mean by a sweets trait though? Is it supposed to look like the treat they're based on or... do you mean something else? I kinna don't understand what the sweets trait is from the picture.
Any sort of sweet-inspired themeing and motifs in the character! Can be more vague (color palettes, pattern) or direct (big versions of the sweet as accessories, etc)
In the picture elements like the strawberry charm & dripping icing are outlined in yellow because they're inspired by the desserts Sunny's based on - and in Mallow's design he has clear hot cocoa themeing (color pallet, winter coat, etc) but you can also see more obvious elements like his sugar packet purse and the konpeito in his hair.
Its ultimately up to you! Take inspiration from your sweet of choice however you see fit - it's supposed to be a jumping off point <3
