i didn't think the other was that complicated but you're right this one is even easier to draw haha. is the aquila two headed? :O

^^; Ah, I just get nervous about these designs sometimes. I've always kept them simple, not just because of my limited budget but also because I don't want to put artists through a whole lot of trouble to draw my characters, whether that's commissioned or otherwise. -///-; I don't like taking up too much of folks' time, but I suppose that's just me overthinking it lol

YEAH the Aquila is two-headed! To speedrun the lore (as best I can) it's basically the most important icon of the Imperium of Man. It represents humanity's ascendency, with the left head bearing an open eye towards the future and the right head keeping its eye closed to the past. It's basically the faction emblem, most Imperial institutions incorporate it into their icon to a degree (usually the wings,) and it's stamped on every piece of equipment available.

Cadian troops wear the Aquila on their chestplates, whereas they wear the Imperialis (a winged skull) on their helmets. Officers like Marsh Silas and Hyram wear both icons in gold while NCOs and enlisted men wear both in silver.

...not quite the speedrun I had in mind but yeah, golden two headed eagle!

oh my bad i should have known that i have a vague knowledge of the lore šŸ˜³ me just sitting here goin 'hey aquila thats a constellation' i forgot its like . EagleĀ

also its no prob! Some people like more complicated chars to draw. but I getcha! I worry when people have to draw Antares for that reason hahaha

xD dude I didn't even known there was a constellation! That's honestly a badass name for one though.Ā

(also word of warning, with my fan OCs I might occasionally have to lore-dump about theĀ Warhammer: 40,000Ā franchise just to explain one thing and that...that can get long-winded. I promise to streamline as much as possible T_T)

Oh I really like Antares' design! Especially the armor, because it looks really cool but also it means sense. The articulation of the shoulder plates, cuirass, and armored skirt remind me of some of the irl European armor I've studied, but what's cool is that his helmet puts me in mind of the kind of helmets you see with kozane-gusoku and tosei-gusoku armors you see with the Japanese Sengoku Jidai and Edo Period. He looks sturdy as heck!Ā
