before anyone jumps to red's defense: it's really gross to imply that being chinese or east asian suddenly makes you exempt to the critiques others make of your depiction of characters and their relationships. the words "brother" and "family" / similar lingo is not the complicated english you pretend it to be to make excuses for them. I am chinese myself, I do not live in an english speaking country, and it's common fucking sense to know siblings depicted as to be kissing each other has certain undertones that are romantic or sexual in nature.
no matter what people have made you believe, incest is not fucking okay nor different for us, and to imply otherwise is simply sinophobic. east asian artists do not need your coddling.
