so first off, LITERALLY ALL OF TOOLPACK’S FICS. THEYRE SO FUCKING GOOD. the first one i read was a wish for anything, which is a take on a happy ending for one (or as happy as it can get). it’s VERY VERY good, esp its sequel fic milk and honey where liam & bryce are gay as shit. and lightning scars, where liam & bryce are still gay as shit
actually I’ll just throw their hfjone fic series at you bc even tho i havent read all of them they’re all consistently SO good
there’s also déjà vu by starrysymphonies, which is about tomato/charlie growing up with only vague recollections of the plane since it happened when he was so young. its a very very good interpretation of how that would affect him as he grows up, and it was also written by the same person who wrote that ii fic abt paintbrush worrying about getting outed to the hotel oj residents in the event of their coming out to lightbulb being aired on tv
external assistance by fridgefreezer is about owen turning to online forums in an attempt to figure out what happened to liam. it’s not quite a chatfic more of a ,,,,,,, forumfic i guess ????????????? it hasn’t been updated in over a year and in the time since it came out, one investigations has released, but it’s still a very very interesting read (and a very unique format)
there’s also you’ve got me on life support by cxlesstial, which iirc is about liam having a nightmare abt the plane after escaping from it with the others. it’s also a poly liam/bryce/amelia fic, and it got me hooked on the ship i think those three are everything to me
i got spoiled for it too but it still got me so badly . i was like “no fucking way” and even after i finished it i couldn’t take my mind off of it i just immediately opened ao3 in an attempt to cope
IKR THO the way liam’s arms fell to his sides in defeat when charlie got crushed ,,,,,,, like he fully thought he had just failed to save a one-year-old baby from getting crushed by a wooden spike. he didnt know at the time that they could just be respawned. that’s traumatic as fuck and the facial expressions of both him & bryce/amelia/taylor/charlotte capture that perfectly. in taylor’s case, she was just a teenager and she had to witness that shit
the characters’ emotions in hfjone just feel so fucking realistic in general ……….. thats a big reason why i love it so much
p.s. ive already mentioned one investigations but u should 100% watch it when u get the chance, it’s a miniseries about the police (mainly an investigator named ava) trying to investigate the disappearances of liam, bryce, amelia, taylor, & charlotte, which is presented through interviews of people who knew them (aka the people who would’ve been on s3 if uh . ep 18 hadn’t happened)
