Its an interesting concept if you think about it, a representation of his wolf side he tries to hide or suppress. I feel like maybe she will appear to him when he is feel down or abused and give him courage to take action. It had be cute and he doesnt know that wolf is his mother until much time later when Blade reveals it to him aftdr meeting him.
Like imagine all this time he thinks its part of his own imagination, in a poetical way, he would refer to that wolf vision as his inner strength, thinking that wolf is just him as well. So he would write books about his life journeys and refer to that wolf as his own ego, his freedom and wild side.
