also the struggle to find designer credit is so real, i have one character I bought a few years ago via an aj discord server, and i never got around to putting her up cause i wasnt super active on toyhouse then, and then by the time i did start using it more actively the person's discord account was deleted and the toyhouse user they gave me at the time no longer exists. she's still sitting in my files and i dont know what to do with her TOT i cant imagine having to hunt down so many characters from 10+ years ago

I think you can just credit it to the defunct username. It's still credited to them, after all. There was one case where I did happen to write down the username of the person who made a design but that name...didn't link to anything. But I have literally nothing else to go off of sdfdsadf
Trying my best to find the designers and the base makers for so many characters was...a pain. I don't even know if I found the right people for a lot of them but I have literally nothing else to go off of.
