First of all, the voice claim! The first voice that came to mind when I saw Sol was Fionna from Fionna and Cake! She's got that spunky, occasionally unhinged kind of vibe that I think might fit Sol well.
I think you've got an incredibly engaging universe set up here! I love fantasy and high stakes, and I love characters like Sol who unfortunately get caught in the middle of it and make the most of it where they can. I'm also a huge fan of characters who are kind, but secretive. Given her backstory, I think she has every reason to be a bit closed off, but it's great that she still manages to be compassionate and heroic where it counts. I also like that she's a whiz with a weapon, and even more so that she built the weapon herself. It gives it a bit of intimacy.
I also really like her design. I'm a sucker for characters who just ooze spunkiness, and the addition of a band-aid on the nose always does the trick at getting that sentiment across. Not only that, but her color palette works well together, and she's overall very nice to look at. Great job!
As for headcanons...
1. Sol's macarons are a delicacy among the Star Scale crew. It never ceases to surprise them when everyone starts clamoring for the sweets they make. It's a skill she can't quite remember picking up, but one she utilizes fully.
2. Speaking of dogs, Sol can communicate with them to some extent. She can understand what they say and read their body language quite well.
3. Sometimes, Sol lies awake at night, mulling over her past and wondering if there's anything she could have done differently, despite not remembering much. She wishes she knew then what she knows now. So many things left unsaid resting on the tip of her tongue that she'd like to be able to tell the ones she lost. One day, she hopes she'll find a way to.
4. Related to the last headcanon in her trivia section, similar to actual dogs, Sol can smell her friends from up to 11 miles away, which is really helpful during dire situations.
