I saw you have harddrive problems, and if you're a slightly more advanced user, I'd suggest building a bootable Ubuntu USB drive and using that secondary OS to scan your harddrive. It's been YEARS since I've done this but it worked really well for me to rescue data off a bad HDD/motherboard connection without the extra pressure of Windows, and it could scan for bad sectors.

Thanks for the info! I'll keep that in mind for the future. :0c I didn't see this before fdgfdgdg but I installed a new harddrive so...everything should be good now, hopefully!! o/
