Aaaahh thank you so much!! ;__; < 333

I really try my best to make the history of each character to correspond their personalities & appearance, and I have a particularly soft spot for characters who come from very poor social standing because it corresponds with my own the most. Also I'm a sucker for rags to riches (or the exact opposite!) in terms of tropes, but in Oliver's case I wanted to explore it through the eyes of someone who actually ends up suffering more because of it.

I actually referenced the book before I fully even read it myself: I finished it only some months back, while Oliver as a character is much older. I really liked the premise though and I think it's a fun enough book to read, the kind of wholesome read that isn't necessarily anything big or mind blowing, but it made at least me smile with its very positive and naive main character who just... is so very nice to everyone.

I DEFINITELY need to draw him more, the entire group around Claude desperately needs more content but I always fear I'll end up spoiling something or it'll confuse people I draw characters who haven't appeared in the demo! But then again when has that ever stopped me from anything though like let's be real lmao. I definitely need to give them all better profile images at least, and I really want to draw Oliver and Edmund to fool around with Cyrus, who eventually becomes their friend.

But honestly thank you so much for your super nice and thoughtful message, I woke up to this and it definitely made my morning ; o ;

You're very welcome aww!! ♥ I love what you've done with that trope. I'm really eager to see more drawings of him and his group then! ;v;

+ The book sounds really cute... I want to read it even more now

I hope I can get something done during November since I've been really burning to draw these boys :'3c

IT HONESTLY IS like sometimes you just really gotta sit down and read a book about how a very kind little boy makes his mean cynic grandpa rediscover his faith in humanity and kindness
