S'loo Rukt'In is from a clan of ice dragons living in the Alps. She's a transfemale, which is generally accepted, but also has a mutation that means she can't fully shift into dragon form. She's young, about 16, and was late hatching out of her egg. Her parents weren't sure she ever would hatch, and were very surprised when she was already mostly human shaped. She's physically weaker than the others, can't fly, and doesn't have their cold resistance either. Even what ice abilities she does have are stunted. A sickly child, when some of the clan makes its way to Manta Carlos (A hidden island for magical beings), they take her with them, hoping to find some way to heal her. She's going to school on the island. 

A generally sad, somewhat morbid girl. She feels like a burden, and is scared she might die soon. She was never really able to interact with the other dragons growing up, sheltered and fragile. She's timid, and sometimes too reliant on other people because she was never taught that she could be self sufficient or strong on her own.
