Full-Time: Full time models make the commitment to participate in at least 12 of the 24 themes through the year (average one shoot a month). They are given special consideration over other entries in Jewel Model contests due to their participation, and may receive certain privileges regardless of whether they are chosen to become a top model or not.
Part-Time: Part time models participate in at least 6 themes through the year. They are viewed as official employees and are given consideration above occasional contributors in any contests. They are less likely to become a Jewel Model or receive privileges, but may still if they show considerable effort in their shoots.
Guest: Guest models make no commitments at all. They only come by when there is a theme or contest that interests them. Though this is completely acceptable and encouraged for those with less free time or interest, they are not as likely to win contests and will receive no privileges.
Prizes and Privileges: There will be occasional contests for new Jewel Models, and all who participate have a chance of winning, though committed models are usually considered first, as the Jewels are the face of Vari-A. In the meantime, there are monthly themes that all models can participate in, and those who do may receive recognition for their work.
Full-Time and Part-Time models who consistently fulfill their commitments are often given free passes to skip shoots without losing their status. They may also be given their own dressing rooms, permission to keep clothes after a shoot, or a chance to collaborate with a Jewel Model for a project. The most popular privilege however, is the ability to choose themes for upcoming photo-shoots.
