So, my goal in life is to make a living working on my stories, yeah? But something in my past where I got attacked over a topic I was experimenting with in my work at that time makes me scared to even show off my characters at this point. (Mostly being scared people will cancel me over stuff I did in my past coming back but I refuse to give up working on the characters involved though a lot has changed with them) (plus I stopped wanting to or seeing a reason to) Even with that, I don't want to show much of my game I'm working on currently. I wanna keep it hidden and such but I'm unsure if I should; I should probably make some kind of platform or something. I always felt like YouTube would be a good place but the only thing I probably could do is devlogs or videos about the lore itself or maybe speedpaints or animation memes.

I'm unsure if I should do any of these as, again, not too sure if I should share stuff about my story and also, I'm not too sure if I would enjoy making videos. I used to try to make videos when I was little but now when I try again, it feels like too much work and I stop working on it.

Any advice or ideas for this?

I do understand what you are going through, I'm in a similar process as well. But I suggest to write the story (or a draft) and the objective what your characters will be over. How they will react- or simply what your personally interested (I sometimes go to the extra mile to research about the topic to portray what will my characters will go on). Ask yourself what will your character do on a situation and what they will react, and why do they react that why? Or giving your character redesign or there background of what they are- what culture do they live in? Draw even something reminisce of the project like a character having a emotion with something there struggling maybe in themselves or out like venting to a villian (This helps me) Another way to get your work out is going to other social outlets like instagram, wattpad, animo and more. This will get people interested in your project if you hint what your working on- this doesn't have to be a bunch of panels or a whole comic book, but the story can contain one scene shot either simple or in whole in one scene in a whole chapter (Remindor, this is some things that help me these are just tips for you, hope this helps!)
