Help with prices / Interest check? Pixel art comms

Hello!

I've been considering taking pixel art commissions to get back in the groove of things, despite working full time and not having much time for myself. That said, I've wanted to try and open up pixel art commissions, for rather large sprites.

I like to work on a "big" canvas since smaller pixels still feel a little weird for me to do, but I'm getting confident with my larger works. I'm having REAL trouble deciding on a price, however.

This is what I would be offering, if I were to open commissions for these (average size would be ranging from 250x250 to 300x300):

A) Still, large pixel sprite

B) Large, multi frame animated sprite. Several parts move separately. (Character belongs to EarlGreyKimotea@deviantArt)

C) Simpler hovering sprite. Two-three parts at most will move separately.

Now for the big question: What kind of price do you think would be fair for each type? Each sprite, without being shaded and animated, takes me two-three hours to be completed. Shading usually adds at least an hour, and comes with two tones + highlights. Animation depends on complexity.

So, on average, I can go from three hours for a flat coloured sprite to 6+ for an animated, shaded one, depending on how many parts need to be animated and placed on different layers, and obviously on how complex the design is.

Let me know what you'd price each type and don't be afraid of going low! I'm open to any kind of suggestion, and would love to hear your opinion before I make up my mind and decide.

these look really clean and well-drawn! pixel art and pagedolls are always in really high demand, so with transaction fees and everything considered, i would start at £30. you can go lower if you want more orders but make sure you get your time's worth :)

Regarding pricing, you can peep the master thread for some advice, as it heavily varies. The "right" answer should always come from you, as you know your workflow and times worth best. Depending on currency exchange rates at the time, I have seen artists charge/accept lower amounts in USD that are worth much more once converted. Lower amounts may wind up attracting more orders though, so, just as said above, make sure it's worth your time!

Good luck!! ^^

onessu oh gosh, that means a lot to me - thank you!
I'd definitely want to earn back something for the time taken, but I wouldn't want to overprice either; I'll keep your price suggestion in mind!

Lemonylulu ah I've been taking commissions for a good while now (been an online artist for years) so I'm decently versed with the world of commissions. I was mostly wondering what other people  would be asking for / be willing to pay for pixels sich as these!
Thanks for the link though! <3
