BogusRed that’s understandable! the double-gaming thing (ie people using the same art in two arpgs for double rewards) makes a lot of sense

i feel like it’s more of a thing for feral/furry CS, but as someone who’s an admin of one myself and very active in the humanoid CS sphere, most humanoid CS outright state ‘we don’t hold copyright to the concept/appearance of x, only the full experience’ type of thing. 

still as i mentioned, the general generic-ness of most humanoid CS makes it pretty easy to au-ify them into just a generic kemonomimi, so i’ll be alright :}

How does it still qualify as closed species in that case? Sorry I'm not active in those communities so I'm not as familiar. We can totally accept characters in that case as it would not violate terms for those games.

Also genericizing the character is also acceptable.

essentially, it's a bit of an 'honor system' / name brand vs generic brand thing? the main draw for 'generic' looking humanoid CS is often the community / ARPG aspects (which is why i mentioned double-gaming would be a concern) , however since maintaining these takes a lot of effort obviously and are usually much less in-depth than something like PD has (usually its just a single, vague prompt per month)

from dreadnauts's tos, for example;

"Dreadnauts Species" does not own nor copyright the idea  of 'sea based' species nor the idea of parasite-based species. Though it  is not copyrighted, you are not permitted to create your own Dreadnaut  without a MYO slot.

generally, many terms boil down to 'official/staff made designs are bound by a tighter form of copyright, but MYO (make your own) designs are only bound by it within the scope of the specie's community'. however, some species are more strict about this (ie mostly high profile furry/feral cs, from what i've seen)

definitely it'd have to be case-by-case, like having the user clarify species terms in their character submission like they would for a character someone else designed.

either way im glad to be able to provide insight on it ^^ again i'm enjoying PD a lot, so figured i'd give some insight on things!

I have a question if anyone knows the answer ^^) when I start a fight with a monster, how many prompts usually kill a monster? ;v; If i cant draw for 3-4 days will the monster keep attacking and will my oc just die? (and is death permanent?)

I've been wanting to try this out since november but I dont want my ocs to die ;v;

MIHAVI The boss fights involve everyone in the community and they all attack together. Your character getting attacked once won't kill them. You can postpone a second attack until you can get them healed. Healing items can be purchased with gold or earned through prompts. If you don't have an account yet (or made one recently), you can use the referral form and start the game with several free healing items! :D
