Is there a specific layout you think is really cool or aesthetic? Maybe there's some small details you enjoy seeing and learning about a character? Or maybe you like extra codes with misc. information in them!

That's what i like actually--stuff like little dress up games or an inventory tab that shows off that character's most prized possessions! They are completely unnecessary but also add so much to the profile itself! Not only is it fun and interactive, but it also shows off just how much thought you put into that character!

I have yet to see it used but I've also seen people make codes for like. a dating sim type conversation profile! Would be cool to see one used to maybe create an interactive conversation with a character!!

To be honest I am not actively going on character profiles lately </3

But I still have some things I like:

- Just like you I love silly little extras, games. One of my Ocs (Lui) actually has one! Its on this main profile (not TH and JS based (something TH doesn't allow after all)) But things like extra stuff or games are a bit rare, I don't really see them often, if at all.

- a simple, calm but good layout is something I appreciate a lot.

- I don't use them personally anymore, but those little ribbon pics that tell you special stats about the character. always fun seeing some

- facts, summaries, hobbies

[there's probably more I can't think off, may come back later]

I really love a lot of the of the stuff that can be done with codes, I really appreciate those who take the time to spruce up their charater bios with some code that fits the character perfectly. and I agree that code that is like a dating sim type of thing is really cool i'd like to have a code similar to one of those so people could interact and get to know my characters better but for now i'll just work at slowly filling out my bland profiles.

I enjoy it when people customize their character profiles with gifs or custom assets! I enjoy seeing character profiles that also showcase the character's personality. I want to add more customization to my character profiles - slowly but surely I'll get around to it.

honestly i just like reading a billion paragraphs about an interesting, captivating oc and figuring out what makes them tick

the ribbons and stuff people put are cool!

but other than that, i like when people have trivia sections that include some quirky information or just stuff that the creator didn't have another place for! i feel like that really makes a character feel well-rounded and realistic.

pretty codes are nice, but i care more about the content. a really nice code can be really appealing and draw me in, though. i tend to use really simple codes because i'm just pasting in a billion paragraphs of text anyway and most very 'pretty' codes don't have space for a lot of text without it breaking or looking odd

yess i love little trivia sections or likes/dislikes lists with silly little things on them. like maybe they just really do not like grapefruit for no particular reason. i love reading stuff like that i think it brings the characters to life a lot more ^_^

dazey-the-goat

a good silly little trivia!! i've always loved those sections a whole lot, especially if they're juts little specific quirks like aaaaaa! [i myself might write too much trivia i couldn't help it lol]

but also just, when people take the time to write in their personality a little more... idk why but i feel like this is still an underexplored aspect most of the time, so whenever i saw profiles that goes an extra mile in these sections i know i just gotta read it!! i think that's where the character's complexities and relatability can become most clear. don't get me wrong, backstories are just fun and important! in fact i think you can add in a lot of a character's personality in their backstory section by including their thoughts, feelings, and why they do the actions, etc..

Well-organized, in-depth character profiles that aren’t too overwhelming but aren’t voids either.  This includes a solid reference, color palette etc.  I need to learn more about OCs I enjoy I feed off solid writing.

Currently working on tweaking my OC Odinn’s profile as a friend asked for more in depth details on her and I’ve REALLY enjoyed doing it.

i really like reading character's likes and dislikes as well as hobbies, it helps me when I want to get a quick, better idea about a character

another love:

i personally really like it when codes use bootstrap colors instead of custom ones, makes the profile look good no matter what theme ur using and it blends in seamlessly with the site layout!

nothing wrong with custom color themes either, i see really amazing ones all the time and i love them too, saw one with a red glowy neon theme that was absolutely amazing!!

bonus if said users are premium and the html matches their css :3

trivia/hobbies its fun to see a random character just have a hobby like woodworking or smth

Acopytopy

I like when people write some sort of backstory in the profile. I might not read all of it, but it's nice to know that they've thought about it. I also like seeing OCs' relationships with each other because it makes it seem like they're part of a shared world ^^

QwerTY LunaPines

I've seen a few people say they love interactive profiles, and I just made this one for my IC Qwerty!

He has a youtube player on his profile, click able buttons and even the chrome dino game!

OG code isn't mine, I just frankensteined it a bit haha, credits on his profile

i personally really like it when we actually get some dialogue from the character! its one thing for someone to describe a personality, completely another to Actually see what they're like.

It's exponentially easier to type "likes: computers", but seeing a "Hey you there! yes you, do you want to hear my opinions on pc builds and why thermal paste is my personal worst enemy???" endears me to a character so much more
