Voted! Personally I'm fine with the 1 per day rule, but I'd also like to add the idea of the form to fill out too
A thread to discuss anything related to the Freebie Bin, where Toyhouse users can give characters they no longer feel that spark towards to new homes!
The Bin has gotten such a good reception and several regular users, and I'm super thankful it's turned out this well! Thank you to everyone who's contributed their characters, and to the people that take these characters in!

Honestly I don't like the idea of 1 a day because I feel like it's too constricting and it's gonna make things way less fun and the thread will start to become like every other freeb thing or at least that's what I see for the future but it may not end up that way
@twosecondslighter any thoughts on my form idea? I feel like that would be ideal just because 1) it would allow the giver to set whatever limits they feel comfortable with, instead of an overarching rule, 2) the act of filling out the form would remind the givers that they are allowed to set whatever rules and limits they feel comfortable with, and 3) it would make giving posts easier to identify when scanning through.
and I second @animecafe102 's most recent comment. one a day might also create the problem of give-backs, if somebody takes an adopt and then one they REALLY want is posted an hour later. And even if there is a rule against give-backs, I think that scenario would create a lot more upset and dampen the fun atmosphere of the thread
I'm not fond of the 1 per day rule, honestly... I agree with @Fehnryr s form. ^^ It would be an easy way to controll it, and users could decide what rules they would becomfortable with.

The form is also definitely an option! And, if it were followed, it could allow for a lot of what I'm looking for in improving this situation. It could stand to be shorter for me personally but with adjustment it could be viable. (If anyone wants to use the form option instead, just nix the limit option in some way when you vote!)
Alright, the poll is over, and it seems most of you aren't satisfied with 1-a-day, so that's not the method we'll use exactly.
Both options containing 'No' are counted as about the same- so, will a form similar to Fehnryr's be applied to the first post of the thread as a suggested way to put in things? And what suggestions do we have for limit changes?
It's so difficult tryna get designs because it usually is the same grouping of people. :0 Not that I'm complaining, as I know for sure I don't need any more characters, but from what I've seen, it really is just the same people more than often. I don't think there's any fixing that, it's just a matter of people being fast and determined lmao. //hides away now lmao I just wanted to input something and I don't wanna cause anything
I wouldn't see why not, but if it is for a closed species or something, you might want to check the species creator first.
I am very much leaning on this form idea right now. The person giving is probably going to be aware of the issue and can write measures to avoid it if it's an issue for them personally. Though I might want to narrow it.

I agree with Venice. Adding MYO is fine, as long as the species creator is alright with you transferring them!
On a separate note, offering to make free characters for the members of the thread is also absolutely fine! In fact it'd be very exciting to see what someone kind enough to offer that could come up with!
