aaah honestly the results I get depend entirely on the quiz i happen to take-- onlinepersonalitytests gives me ESTJ, psychcentral gives me ISTJ, 16personalities gives me INFP, humanmetrics gives me ENTJ. as such I'm pretty skeptical of the absolute usefulness of a system like this hahaha. There r just so many confounding practical factors between ~Personality~ and like... the realities of everyday life. And I don't really understand the dichotomies as opposing things so much. I think I'd place myself as an ISTJ though. Maybe ESTJ? Hard to tell thru the thick crust of mental illness :p
Though I agree it can defs be handy to like use the archetypes for helping to understand/inspire characters--I kinda use it in the same way I use astrology, which I also enjoy :'v
i've typed my fav OCs (just now based on my understandings of the system instead of a quiz). Interesting that there's such variation tbh ! and I would have thought I'd share a type with one of them, but no :o
