shwoop- also, spoilers for the end of CH2 (incase y'all haven't finished yet)
first off... damn I'm doing a pacifist run so I had no idea *that* was gonna be part of the genocide route.
second, part 2 was great! Really liked the computer/tech motif + the final boss fight (at least in the pacifist route idk about other endings) was unexpected, in a fun way ofc.
and the ending scene definately raises a lot of questions. Probably need more time to come up with a proper theory abt it. Especially because the whole getting-rid-of-his-soul thing is somewhat acknowledged by Toriel? at least the whole doing weird stuff/taking their time part. + with the game ending on Kris opening a dark fountain, I wonder where CH 3's gonna start or lead us then. Plus, Kris (or at least 'soul-less Kris') being the dark knight I have a strong feeling this is gonna end w/some sort-of meta & 4th wall break given how Undertale went. Maybe it's gonna tie into the opening of Chapter 1 with the whole Kris having no say in their life aspect. At least that's my theory for now
quick edit yo: Here's a thought- 'soul-less Kris' means they're not under any influence by the player. bc in those scenes, the player has no control over what they do until they put the soul back. So my theory is because it's established Kris doesn't have control over their life, maybe opening fountains is the main way they can have control. Or given the ending of CH2 where the gang's wondering if staying in the dark world is plausible, maybe it could be a case of wanting to open fountains to keep-up the adventures & friendships
