just wondering if there's anyone else here who has played moshi monsters before =]

I remember that I used to play the original game moshi monsters when I was really young, what an childhood =]
atho unfortunately the original game has shut down in around december 2019 iirc, but thankfully, there's many fan-versions/recreations of it like moshi monsters rewritten(hopefully this is a correct link ;_;) and moshi online. =]
so yesterday, I decided to finally play it since it has been a while since I played that game lol, so yayyy
I personally went with moshi online

I don't really remember which monsters I liked when I was very young, but I think it was katsuma and poppet? idk lol
I LOVE MOSHI MONSTER. That game was my ENTIRE LIFE when it was young. I think my avatar was a black and white katsuma, and id say its still my fave out of the others. Used to play it religiously and had a huge collection of some of the older moshlings before (like club penguin) i grew out of it.
I also adore dr strangeglove and Sweet Tooth!
I still stand that its super underrated! Havent seen fanart of it in YEARS and even then, it was rare. Hope people bring more attention to it some day
Yeah, I've had my Moshi Monsters Rewritten account for little over a year now, my user is the same as on here! Usually I only get the opportunity to play it when I have nothing else to do and need to kill time, which is rare, so my monster may be dead-
As a kid I had like 3 different accounts of the og game just so I could have a Luvli (my first/main one), a Poppet, and a Katsuma. I'm not into overly girly stuff like I was then so I'd say Katsuma is my fave now.
I also have a ton of irl merchandise of the game back from its glory days, I have a small Poppet plush, a small Luvli plush/hand puppet, a giant Katsuma plush, I had the one mall playset that had a code for an item, the popcorn tub playset, a lot of the Moshling collectables, figures of Diavlo, Furri and Poppet, and the McDonalds toys.

Ducks, thinking of this game always makes me a bit of sad. My memories of it feel like a fever dream which I can see very clearly, but never happened irl. Like, I could not for the love of birds, tell you when in my spare time or in my life I have played it. But I'm sure I did, because i LOVED This game and you could say I was a bit too much into it. Even today I remember all the streats, funny places, my house a bit, characters-- sadly, I don't remember how my fella looked but it was probably nothing to remember XDD
I have many favorite little pets, like White Fang, Big Bad Bill or Ecto. For the big characters, it's easily Katsuma. I really liked them. About little ones! I was so in love with their cuteness that I even went out of my way, and drew them (i wasn't into that back then, since I was mainly about writing) and had a few toys with them -- gahh, I still do! I will later take them out and take some photos of them ♥ But this game was awesome.
I can't remember when I stopped playing, but I did, which later caused me to forget about the game. Once I remembered it, it was too late - with the site being down. It was quite painful tbh. It was one of the things that meant a lot for me as a kid, so seeing it go and not being able to even say bye bye... Not nice. I even tired rewritten after but it didn't click with me. Not the same vibe, and I was still sad over it all. But I may try out online! I never heard of it and it may work for me this time. I'd love to play this game again even if only for a bit.

I was obsessed as a kid, I had the ds moshling game, I had a ton of those blindbag figures / the board game, etc. I think my main was Katsuma from what I remember, and then I had a ton of moshlings that I switched between, I wish I could get the account back one day for the memories, but I may try these new ones out!
I remember vividly that I enjoyed doing the events that went on, the mini games, and the cupcake maker especially
WHAT I didn't know moshi monsters shut down??? I used to love moshi monsters!! I had the cards and a bunch of the figures, I even brought some into my old school to play with them with my friends lol. I even got a moshi monsters advent calender with the little christmas versions of the figures. I still have like 30 of those moshi monster figures laying around even now.
