Hi!

Since the original Unpopular Opinion Thread is locked (it turned into a shit-show reeeaaal fast) , I've gotten permission to remake it.

I've decided to use the original rules for the thread since those were gucci

Edit: I didn't mean to post ic aaaaaaaa

Spoilers: Rules

- Don't be very rude or snarky to others. Remember, everyone has their own personal opinions.

- Disagreeing with someone's opinion is allowed, as long as it's not rude.

- Yo don't namedrop people, even if they're not on this site.

- To avoid causing a mess, refrain from starting an argument at all times!

- If there's something wrong going on in this thread, or if it's going out-of-hand, please PM me so that I can take care of it!

- Vaguing someone is prohibited, and it's connected to the third rule.

- Please do not post more than twice per page, so that it won't cause too much of a mess.

- It's okay if you vent, don't go too all-out on it. This is not the Vent Board.

- Also, please try not to turn this thread into a saltfest.

- Please, no opinions focused on racism, LGBT, politics, religion and the like. These will cause a massive flamewar. Controversial opinions are also not allowed unless taken lightly.

- Don't say stuff like "I don't like X" or "What? I love X!" in a way that's aggressive. This is meant to be a nice thread about sharing your unpopular opinions, not countering someone else's opinion.

-If it's something nsfw, use a spoiler box, or blackout the text  like this

- Don't call this thread out as a "bad idea." If you don't like this thread, please do not post here.

-Failure to comply with these rules will result in a warning, or ban depending on how severely you broke the rules.

Ey yo,  if you see someone breaking the rules, pm me. I love it when ppl do this because I'm a blind bih.

None (yet, but I think it's time to bring this bad boy out.)

The beach is super overrated. It’s one of my least favorite activities tbh

Going there is fun for like 4 minutes and then I’m like “please take me home”

Reasons (will keep adding on):

-it’s always uncomfortably hot

-ice cream is expensive

-we never bring floats or goggles so that sucks

-kids. Everywhere

-nothing to do

-the water is too cold

-seaweed.

-the sand is either too hot or gets everywhere

-towels in the sand are the worst place to sleep

-I could be at home

-the car seats get wet and gross

-my hair gets wet and gross because of swimming

-the car is always locked when I need something

-gross grilled, charred, chrunchy hamburgers

-never being hungry for the snacks I packed

-Waisting my whole day at the beach

-water getting in my nose

-packing soggy sandwiches

-the water in the cooler getting warm

-trying to go back in the water after I dried up

-getting crusty sand on your toes that won’t come out

T-Series is a company, with the entirety of India as a target audience. Pewdiepie is one man, with English-speaking gamers as his target audience. And yet people are getting angry that the former is beating the latter in sub count? Enough that my English teacher (who's about 50 years old) had to be educated about the two just because half the class was arguing? Like, it doesn't matter that T-Series is or is not beating Pewdiepie.

responding to people who say they like/dislike something with “OMG HOW CAN YOU (NOT) LIKE THIS??” is incredibly.. rude and just puts others down

+ i agree with lunala, i found the whole pewds vs t series meme funny at first but now it’s just dragging on too much

BIG AGREE with husbrandos right here

That aside, as much as I find the Sans jokes to be funny, I really don't like how the internet treats Sans as a joke. :\

RustHeart

Yes I agree! It is extremely annoying! I hate that people view that character as purely a joke and then they look at my characters and all they can say is 'lol Sans UnderTale' and it pisses me off.

Just because a character is popular does not mean it makes it automatically uncool and you need to bash it!

Who the hell cares if people make AUs based around him?  Each one is very different and unique and if you actually took the time to read them you would see that.  To be completely honest its basically just a species at this point.  Like, look at Inkstone, apart from both being skeletons there really isn't anything similar but yet people will look at him and instantly think that its just a recolored Sans character.

I really love getting writing commissions for my ocs. It's was a shock when i got a writing commission for the first time.

I love how writers try to interract my ocs. I prefer much better than commision art . (  because it's a little complicated to give artists the freedom to interact ocs each other. it's hard to tell but... )

Another underrated opinion :

It bothers me to see the name "couple" art because I'm thinking/afraid it's only for shipping/lovers ( and not friends or enemies for exemple ).

Pickles shouldn't be on burgers

Lilina

^^^ I agree! I just take the pickles out of the burgers whenever I see them.

Also...

Kale Chips are superior to Potato Chips, and as much as I love potato chips, they are super unhealthy.

CARLO

Pickles on burgers are evil I agree with historia and un-lucky-fennec

On to the reason I'm here

I don't really like the jojo's bizarre adventure art style

Unpopular opinion: im just not into FCs for myself but i love other people's. Ill make AUs for my own characters if someone wants to rp it. But everytime ive made a fc ive never been able to keep a lasting connection. Im super jeapous of some peoples ability to incorporate their fcs into the universe and craft their own stories >////<

Also i love looking at huge pages of moodboards for characters ((as long as theyre in a second tab)) it makes me really get a feel for them

It's a real dick move to go up to someone and nitpick a film/TV show/game/book you know they love. A lot of people know I love Dunkirk and that it's one of my fave movies so they'll make a point of coming to me to complain about technical inaccuracies in a really over-dramatic way and it's getting tiring. I know it's not the most accurate war drama out there but I enjoy the plot and the characters enough that I can switch off to the inaccuracies people like to make a point of bitching about. I also find it hella rude I mean you wouldn't like it and would probably be quick to kick off if I nitpicked at stuff you loved the way you nitpick Dunkirk knowing that I love it.

Also if you ask someone's opinion on a film and they say they despised it countering their opinion with "but it won loads of awards" is a really poor argument. Different things appeal to different people. I like films other people hate, other people love films I hated. I have a particular pet hate of artistic period dramas (because I usually get stuck stewarding for them when there's no war drama/sci-fi/comic book movies out) because I find them really boring and the melodrama used to carry what to me feels like an otherwise non-existent plot often becomes unbearably irritating but they're the sorts of films that are gonna get a shit tonne of awards. I know a lot of people who choose what they're gonna watch based on which films win at the Oscars/BAFTAS and they can get really argumentative and standoffish with me when I dislike a film especially if I disliked it for the reason it won awards.
