I loved that show as a kid. I hardly remember anything about it anymore though T_T. I did try and start rewatching it and got to ep 3. And then i started procrastinating oops. I'll get back to it someday!

Oh, I remember watching it all the time when it was still on tv. :3 It was really cool and unique compared to a lot of other shows of that time, in terms of format and the two animation types. I even have one of the video games, although I don't think I ever finished it. ^^; Maybe I should revisit it some time. Even a couple years ago, I binged several seasons of it that were uploaded on Youtube while I was in college. It was a great nostalgia trip, and even though it can be pretty cheesy sometimes and there's a lot of obvious animation recycling (which a lot of shows do, so it's not really a negative), I think it still holds up really well overall.
I know for a fact that one of my old characters has a hoverboard that was clearly inspired by the one Odd has. XD And I ended up naming one of my characters Aelita just because it's a pretty name. I didn't intentionally develop her to be like Aelita from the show, but they did coincidentally wind up being special girls with no memories of their past but have special powers that are key to the plot. ^^;

G o d I just posted about Code Lyoko in the childhood cartoons thread and then I scroll down to see this????? Wild..
But yeah, I grew up with Code Lyoko, even though I was too young and busy with school and stuff to catch every episode and really follow the overarching plot, and I was real upset about never seeing the last handful of episodes because CN shoved it onto their video service to die. Okay well. Actually. I’m still mad about that hcjfbcjdb But at some point I’m gonna take time off to just like. Binge watch the whole series, start to end, to finally be able to say I watched the whole thing.
Also! A few months back I found one of the DS games for like three bucks and bought it on a whim just to see what it was like. Haven’t gotten a chance to play it yet because work is going to be the death of me, but it’s sure to be interesting :p

Oh I absolutely loved this show as a kid. People always make fun of the art style for the big foreheads but I think it works? Even the cheesy 3D portions with them in the virtual world are fun. I rewatched it several years ago but fell out of it and never finished... I should pick it up again.
I also am very tempted to watch the live-action show.
