"Hello everybody! I've seen so many picrew or other dollmaker characters uploaded to toyhouse and get passed around through forum games or freebie bins, and if they end up in the wrong hands they just get deleted off of toyhouse, never to be seen again!
There's so many super cool character ideas out there but many people neglect/disregard them simply because it's a dollmaker character. If you have an unused dollmaker character that you don't want, send them my way (and leave a comment in this thread so I know why I suddenly have a transfer incoming!) Either me or one of my staff will make them a reference and maybe a couple art pieces, then we'll try to find them a better home where they'll actually get used!
If you are actually considering keeping the dollmaker character, but don't have time/want to create them a reference, you can just drop the link to them below, and we'll just draw a reference and send the image to you!" ~ Helena

is there a process to helping with art? like commenting, claiming, etc. i'd love to dedicate my time to drawing some of the characters ^^b
alicesprout We just had applications for helpers (who do the art) not so long ago, so they wouldn't be opening up again until March or April. If you comment on our profile like "I'd like to be pinged for your next audition", I'll add you to our ping list.
I suppose you could also draw some of the already redesigned characters (that aren't pending) for fun, but you wouldn't get any rewards for doing that. Though we could retroactively count it if you become a helper. You'd just need to send the image to the character. No need to comment on the profile.
