The Express Orphanage is responsible for giving a new home to ocs who were no longer wanted by their previous owners. From world to world, the train travels quickly, delivering characters to homes where they will be loved and cared for.

What is the Express Orphanage? How does it work?
Express Orphanage is a project that focuses on giving unwanted ocs a good new home. We have over 500 ocs up for adoption, patiently waiting for someone to adopt them!
To keep the project running, we have a policy regarding adoptions. You can only adopt 1 oc if you have 1 Train Ticket, which can be obtained by donating ocs to the project. Each oc donated is equivalent to 1 ticket, and 1 ticket is used whenever you adopt 1 oc. You can send us any oc you don't want anymore and adopt new ones with the tickets!

Rules regarding the process
- Dollmaker/AI ocs are not going to be accepted into the shelter to avoid what we call by "ticket gathering".
Ocs created with little effort (bases filled with few colours, doodled characters without too many particularities) are not welcome, even more so if presented in large numbers: this will help us avoid the "ticket gathering" phenomenon. - Be patient, we are a small team and we are dealing with many ocs at the same time!
- If you have any complaints or questions, please don't hesitate to send a dm to ExpressOrphanage for us to give you assistance.
- Reasons for adoption must contain: 2 sentences or more, and 1 clear reason about the use of the oc. Example of adoption reason that will be skipped: "I always wanted a wolf oc!". Example of adoption reason that will be accepted: "I love their design! I will use them for my story called [name], and they'll be friends to another oc of mine called [name]". You don't need to write a Bible, simply let us know about what you'll use the oc for! Write two sentences with one clear reason for each character that you desire to adopt.
We follow the grammatical rule that requires periods at the end of sentences, commas don't count. If the reason for the adoption is missing by at least two points, the reasons will not be stated as two sentences.

How can I send/donate an oc?
To send one or more ocs, comment the form below here in the forum post you're reading, then transfer the oc(s) to ExpressOrphanage with a note saying "For Express Orphanage". Please keep in mind: OCS SENT WITHOUT A NOTE ARE GOING TO BE REJECTED TO KEEP THINGS ORGANIZED.

Unofficial artists
To start receiving tickets from drawings, you need to do at least 2-3 of them without earning tickets.
Headshots: 0 (sketch) - 0 (finished)
(Headshots will not give tickets)
Busts: 0 - 1
(Busts: Only a single to ticket if you colour and shade with proper lineart)
No backgrounds
Half body: 1 - 2
(Half Body: Sketchy/messy art is one ticket however it cannot be a 5 minute drawing, effort must be shown.

(Full body: two tickets for messy coloured sketch, 5 for full shading and proper)

The official artists will be chosen by us moderators, and will be those who have collaborated with us the longest.
By becoming official, they will have to do at least one redesign in a month.

Reason and use:
- wizard's palette and overall design caught my eye. i'm fond of witch/wizard designs, as well as medieval themes. i was inspired to make them an anthro design, and drawing them alongside my friend's anthro characters.
- i enjoy aquatic theming, and saw that there was a little fish-themed feral in the back of the list. i would redesign him to be more fish-like in features, but keeping the main color palette and patterns. he doesn't have a name, but i'd rename him to be something silly such as finneus or finley.
- the color palette of the little mouse is really cute, and i like the dot eyebrows and cheeks. it's a bit reminscent of an existing fictional character that i like. i wanted to create an anthro design for them where they're some kind of mage.
- i like the contrasting colors of the cat. i think it works really well, i'm thinking of also turning them into an anthro design, involving maybe vaporwave and neon light aesthetics. i have this idea in my head of turning them into a motorcyclist or beachgoer.
- a lot of these characters are aesthetically pleasing to me due the color palettes, and this is just another example of what i enjoy. as you can tell, i prefer anthro designs over feral; so once again, i would like to create an anthro design. i'll probably have them wear some soft flowy clothing and be a librarian of some sort.

Reason and use:
pretty much the same as always, where i want to use them to practice character designing and drawing anthros.
- i like that sunburn has a darker aesthetic. i would like to make a gijinka out of them, i think the ears would be really cute on a humanoid because it's a rodent's/squirrel's, and i can see them wearing 2000's scenemo clothing because of its color palette.
- croconaw would be cool to make into an anthro. the original designer did a great job with incorporating the "spikiness" into the design. i can imagine putting him in hawaiian shirt and crocs, as well as sunglasses. summery clothing would be perfect for him, and i'd love to change parts of his design to be more crocadile-like, such as his tail and teeth.

Reason and use: I want them for my project space, which I use for writing. I think a traveling merchant would fit her! I would keep the name Sundae and make her sell stuff what is popular on demand. But in truth she would love to settle down in a small town and just sell sweets, icecream selfmade. She tries to save up enough money to finance her dream, but right now it seems to be a difficult goal to achieve. She is super nice, but a bit clumsy and she can't say No, so a lot of people ask for discounts which she is always willing to give.
