So I'm overworking my entire character profiles. One part of it is creating my characters in the exact same order they were created in real life (dunno why, I'm weird), so I have to make "new" character profiles for them, one after another. This also means the following: I have to ADD THE CHARACTERS TO THEIR IMAGES again. Since I have roughly 500+ images already uploaded, I don't want to reupload and write the credits again in all of them. I wanted to add them by their ID Number, since that's WAY quicker than browsing for them in my folder again and again. And this is where I have problems:
I can't add anything by it's ID. Not public characters, not private characters, nothing. I can ENTER the ID in a field, but that's about it. There's no "submit" button or anything. Does anyone know what I'm probably doing wrong?
I'd be really happy if someone could help, they'd save me a lot of time ;~;
When you enter an ID, did you see a small preview of an extra field, showing the name, avatar and number of the character you want to add? If yes, then you just need to click on it and proceed with hitting the submit button ^-^
You can only add one character at a time though!
OH. For some strange reason I don't get any previews at all. Maybe I should try another browser. // Edit: Tried to use Edge instead of Chrome, it still isn't working. ><
Eeeh that's weird... it works fine for me on both, computer and phone, both using Chrome...
I'm sadly out of ideas then ;;
The only other thing I can think of, which is more of a hassle, would be selecting them directly via "My Characters > Select"... which of course doesn't solve the actual problem and takes way more time, but better than reuploading your images for everyone probably? D:
(also, as a sidenote in case you don't know, Selecting via name has always been broken so that isn't an option either sadly ;; )

Yeah, when I posted my problem I immediately started sorting my stuff via the "My Characters" option (so I don't waste time if there's no solution to my problem), and I'm almost halfway done. Oh well D:
that's strange because, like siniaes, i can do it on my desktop and phone...
sometimes on my phone it won't pop up automatically, so i'll delete the last # and then retype it and it'll pop up with the right character.
are you hand typing or just copy/pasting it?
I tried both copy & pasting it and hand typing it, it doesn't change anything. Very rarely it seems to work, like 1 out of 50 times I try, but I have NO idea why.
IF it works, it seems to work perfectly fine, doesn't matter if I use copy/paste or if I hand-type it. At first I thought maybe I had to wait ~3 minutes before it works, since the last time it worked I left the tab (and the image) open for a few minutes, but it doesn't seem to change anything. By now I'm sure there's a problem on my side, but I have no idea what to do about it.
