New Rule Question

Posted 5 years, 1 month ago by Maii

I recently saw the rule last night, would my AU and many other UT AUs owned by others on the platform be not allowed on the site anymore?
FInaletale AU in Question I have the AU private and listed it with an access key.
I fully understand I do not own the characters in question, and more was just going to use the gallery for my AU worldbuilding information, design changes within characters (mostly being clothes and a few small things), and art of the AU.
If they are not allowed anymore, does anyone know of a website that will be able to host information and pictures made for world building??

I had no idea about stash getting shut down!

Also- an alternative might be Discord though again- it's also not the best. So far TH has been one of the best (I'd argue one/or the only one of worth)

To be honest, I might move all of my characters onto Discord or just back into my folders on my computer.

TH isn't the site I paid to use. If there is an option too I'm going to ask for my money back for the account code. I hate that I've promoted this website to my RP friends and Undertale AU friends.

I wonder how many people are going to stop using the site? Tbh I don't think it's going to be a lot in the end but a part of me (a very vindictive part) hopes this causes a dent.

Also, that stuff about DA stealing user's stuff isn't true. I can message you about it if you are interested in hearing it all (don't have it on hand)

Wait, why are you going to ask the TH staff for money back when you bought the code from a third party person, and not the site itself? You know codes here are actually free, and the one who sold you a code is not part of the site's staff, right?

ShinePaw101

I think I bought it from TH.

VincentVanGoat

You cannot buy a code from Toyhouse directly, only get them from premium users who generated an invite code. It says your code came from a user underneath the stats option on your profile. You bought it from someone who scammed you into thinking they were TH staff it sounds like. This user is where your code came from. But it doesn't mean they sold you it for sure, they could have given a code to whoever you bought it from.

Maii

Regardless of who it was bought from, it seems a bit unfair to ask for a refund considering you used the code, and are using the account.

I was really heated when I made that. I've chosen to keep and continue useing this account- just disagree with the site's new rules.

Sorry I get pretty rude when I'm angry (mentioning you two so you see my apology)

Ah, no worries! I mean in our exchange you weren't really too rude. But yeah I can get the whole being heated part, takes a big person to admit they might have been wrong about things and to apologize. While it'll be a different experience than before, I still hope you enjoy your time here~

I have a rather meticulous option, but still an option. Creating another website (using wix or something similar) would probably be the best option to ensure rp worlds won’t be taken down. Presenting credit on the first page of the website could qualify as you acknowledging the idea that the characters don’t belong to you and giving credit to the original creator. I’m not 100% sure about this. I didn’t look fully into it, but if someone could try to confirm/etc., this could be a good side-option.
