What Will Become Of Toyhouse?

How do you feel about the state of toyhouse

196 Votes I am hopeful that Toyhouse will take a turn for the better.
34 Votes They’ve given up and it’s not worth the effort to stay here.
58 Votes I don’t really care.

I’m pretty sure everyone knows what I mean when I say this but I can elaborate

Toyhouse Mods have been unavailable for extended periods of time

Support Tickets go ignored/get lost and don’t get answered for months to a year in some cases

The site isn’t very stable. Yesterday it couldn’t upload images and characters. Other times it just won’t load up

People are feeling abandoned in the sense that staff isn’t paying attention to their site anymore. Even if they are in micro increments, they haven’t communicated such and have nothing to say in terms of why they’ve just ‘poofed’

Many people mentioned moving to refsheet (i think thats what its called) but the money that many have spent here will just be lost into the pit of a failed kickstarter project.

So how do you feel? Do you have faith in the staff still? Are you worried? Do you not really care?

wait, there is only one admin that keeps looking over th? O.O
if it's true, why they don't get more admins/mods? the last big update to the site happened one year and an half ago.

Verdure

Theres only one mod/admin? in a post made 4 months ago they listed 5 people who were admins/mods

I don't think it's right for me to reveal information when they don't seem willing to themselves, but misinformation is harmful so . . . yeah, there is only one person admin-ing the entire site. Handling all the bugs and tickets and updates. The rest are inactive. I, too, would like them to get some help, but can't comment further on the matter.

It is indeed completely wrong that we get the information secondhand, to say it as it is. One person handling the tickets, let alone bug fixing, is awful! for me, it clearly shows that the staff does care at all. if they would, why wouldn't they hire more people?

I sorta have a bit of hope that the site will get better but I'm probs just being hopeful that something happens. I just wanna be on a site where the mod team is active, where there are frequent updates, the staff actually do things like add features, that they aren't quiet, and that the staff tells us about them instead of the community having to tell everyone else. I feel like this isn't too much to ask for...I've suffered with one community with inactive mods and I wanna escape it...so I should at least try to move to another site or begin hosting backups there.

Though I feel like I'm unable to get myself to move fully since I have over 700 characters I made and I can barley save stuff for 100 within the span of a month or two (I tried backing up everything about five months back and I just don't have the energy to spend which so it's my fault if I lose everything due to a lack of energy to back everything up. But I've calmed down about needing to keep each and every character which is really good for me. I can try backing up them in order of importance to me and not worry about the underdeveloped ones).

I at least want staff to hire more people. To moderate and deal with tickets. Having one person is a horrible idea. Plus, the site is getting bigger and bigger by the day.

I still have hope, especially since I love the site so much (and spent quite a lot of money on premium already) the staff I think really needs to grow a bit otherwise things will probably not improve or at least only very VERY slowly. The one called "admin" for example helped me a lot yesterday with my issues and also replied to me in a matter of minutes. I really don't think they don't care about TH, I'm sure they do, the issue is probably somewhere else. In some forum thread (I don't remember exactly which one it was rn) I've read that the way TH is coded currently doesn't allow any major changes or features. They probably need to redo the site here and there which is something they're probably afraid of? Or perhaps just don't have the time , energy and resources atm. I just really hope that TH won't fail one day. I'm also on Refsheet.net and honestly I don't like it that much. A lot of things and features I need are missing and the community and activity seems quite dead to me. On TH the forum is so alive and you feel connected.

People would have no problem giving them time as people already have been. People just don’t want to be in the dark.

Waiting a while for updates is something that, for example, many game companies do. The difference isn’t amongst the staff or the budget. It’s just letting people know.

Again, I’m sure no one here would mind having to wait for updates and patches but we just want to know that there’s something being done (even if not immediately)

Announcements go a long way in this case. Just a simple status update. Even a vague “We are not ignoring you guys, we have xyz going on and have been working on our personal lives. We will get back when the times allows us to.”

I hope that makes sense.

tldr: waiting is ok. silence is not

I apologize if it seemed like I was coming after you. I was just piggy backing off of what you said. I never accused you of defending them and even if I did, you have a right to. That’s the point of this thread, to express how you felt about it. I’m sorry you felt like I was coming down on you lol

We’re just talking
