A simple and sweet concept for those who are second-guessing their Character designs. Simialir to a Character Rating thread, this will more focus on the Design rather than the backstory or any information of the character. That way you can secure a great design before you set them up in a story or even an RP. (I do realize many people prefer to get their story done before locking down on a design, but this is for those who don't or are just looking to get advice on their designs.)

EXPLAIN RATING: I do love the colors, though the face design looks a little plain compared to the rest of the character. I would suggest adding some accessories or maybe even spicing up the face with a unique mark? Maybe a cute black mole in the shape of a heart under her right eye?

EXPLAIN RATING: I love the design overall! The colors work really well with the design, and the design itself is cute. The one breaking point is how the things on the stockings aren't symmetrical. Things that aren't symmetrical are noticeable to me, and once I notice them I can't stop noticing them.

EXPLAIN RATING: I feel like the design is very unique! I've never seen anything like it before, and the creature description helps me to understand and like the design more. The loss of a point comes from the lack of color contrast. There is a lot of pink, and little else. It causes it to be hard to look at for longer periods of time, and makes the design feel a bit more boring than it actually is.
YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME: Arawn
ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Arawn is a Leoghoul, a creature designed and owned by a friend of mine (linked in his bio). He is very fond of death and killing, especially when it leads to a meal. He consumes the victim's soul first, then their body. His favorite method of gathering prey is tricking them into worshiping him. People go near him with little coaxing when they do and often either bring him sacrifices, or become an unwitting meal.

EXPLAIN RATING: I like the design! The styling of the hair is unique and has a really nice look to it, I love the way you designed it; the overall look of the design sits well, it's relatively straightforward to look at, but has just the right amount of detail to it, and the dark palette works well with itself. The heterochromatic eyes with the added black eyelids are a cool touch as well. I don't really have anything to suggest about it, it's a cool design that's appealing to look at.

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Not really, the character page explains everything you need and the art is there too.

EXPLAIN RATING: I will start with the design. It is very loyal to the Pokemon xe is based off of, but I feel that xe is missing a handful of elements the define that Pokemon. More specifically; the sword-like legs, the fluffy tail, the pointed shoulders, and the x irises. The other parts that were utilized are rather very creative; especially the crown. (4/5)
Now it's time for the story. It is very loyal to the legends from the Kalos region according to the games. However, there is something I believe is a sin in writing and that is leaving questions unanswered. What Pokemon is xyr girlfriend based off of? Why on earth would that Jirachi do evil things in that world? Where's AZ and his Floette? You may have profiles available for the characters in question, but it is a good idea to briefly explain them smoothly. I am also afraid that there isn't enough development; but as far as I know, this character does not have any Mary Sue traits. (2/5)

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: Please do not compare him to Hitler or a pedophile. His general looks won't change anytime soon.

EXPLAIN RATING: definitely not the kind of people I would like in the real life (he's creepy and looks like a pervert) but I really love the fact that he is a normal, regular human, without even being the pretty handsome bishie teen. He is the kind of character I love in a roleplay, and him being dull and normal make him so unique in the OC fandom. He's an awesome character.
YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME: Amadeus
ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: He's an almost normal human (except that he is albino) so yeah he does not have fancy ears or tails or anything.

EXPLAIN RATING: For the most part, he seems like a plain and simple character. That's not a terrible thing other than the fact that his design could easily be copied. I'd add a little something to spice him up, maybe a birth mark or outfit style. Overall, lovely design~

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: He continually statics unless he is being used to send a video, in which the video shows though the audio itself is distorted. When normal, he tends to beep and screech.

EXPLAIN RATING: I really do not like the idea of using a TV as an animal's head. I've seen this everywhere and I still cannot understand the appeal of it. However, I would say this one is not that bad for this kind of species, as, at least, it does not have flashy colours or stupid markings.

ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: ....I don't know what to say.
Rating: 7/10
Explanation: I'm a very big fan of this fella's theme! The jackalope-like species fits him well and the little clothing he's wearing adds a lot to the design. In terms of colour he's interesting too; bright blues and light browns always go together well, though I'm not too fond of the colour of the antlers. Personally I think they would have looked better as a cream colour, the reason being that I feel like his design looks very natural and the blues look more like magic, and these blue coloured horns kinda break that distinction. And lastly, I really am digging those eyes.

Additional info: Damon's Mirror is of a species called Mirrors that looks like an already existing person and tries to immitate them through markings and sometimes clothing. This guy, as his name suggests, is the Mirror of Damon.

EXPLAIN RATING: The Species itself is a rather interesting concept and something I don't see often. As for the design, I do bleive the markings fit however the figure bothers me. That just may be how the species is.

EXPLAIN RATING: I am really not into humanoid "closed" species but he is not that bad. I really dislike the ears but this is just personnal preference. I am, however, a bit unsure about his body markings. They look more like war paint than natural markings to me. Maybe they are symbols linked to the species' lore or something, but they still do not look like natural markings to me. I also feel like the normal hairs do not fit that much with the overall dragonic aspect. I am sorry but I do not like him. However, I like his clothings. His boots are really cool. Definitely not the kind of shoes my own characters would wear, but I still like them a lot. The colour mixes is interesting. I like his body outfit too, it is simple but elegant and really unique. I like the details. Then, actually, I would give 4/10 for the character himself and 8/10 for the clothing, therefore 6/10 for the total.

EXPLAIN RATING: I have a soft spot for more natural characters, and you don't see many OC's with that sort of design. I think my favorite would have to be the horns and what hangs between them. To me they seem like a somewhat friendly person over-all? I enjoy being able to somewhat guess how a character would be via their design, there aren't enough as I said natural characters. I also like how the red marks are paint and not markings! That's a very nice touch in my honest opinion.
YOUR CHARACTER'S NAME: Astraeus
ANYTHING YOU'D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER: They are part of a closed species that aren't very well known which I had the enjoyment of being able to get one. They are a type of alien like race who communicate via music notes sort of like dubstep and such. My good friend is still working on them but they are enjoyable. Mines a little different than more of the Divinii as they are called, so mine is more flawed than others. Very unatural.

Explanation: First off, it was extremely hard to give this character a rating. The watermarks that were used are far too visible and it makes the design hard to see. I really suggest getting a single custom watermark as it does the same trick at protecting your art but people can actually see it!
Now, on to the actual explanation! I like this guy's general look but I feel like there's quite a few things that clash with each other. For starters, I feel like the neon pink of his hair doesn't go together with the neon green of his ear fluff and wings, but at the same time individually they go with the black of his fur pretty well. I'm rather neutral on the markings, I like the shape but don't like their colour as they feel a bit out of place among all those harsher colours. This guy's hair IS something I'm a big fan of though! But I feel like a large part of what I don't like about his design relies on the species rather than him individually.
The reason why I ended up going for a 4 rather than a 5 or a 6 is because of those mechanical parts. They feel very out of place. Maybe it's because I'm an amputee myself and I'm a bit tired of seeing people make handicapped characters who-- hahaaa, gotcha, they're not handicapped after all! but for this particular design I can't really see the light metal work with the rest of the body's colours and this design looks like it's a lot more based on magic than it is on technology. On the feral version the metal looks okay, but on the anthro version it just all looks like it doesn't belong on the design. I'm not sure if this is only me personally or not, so feel free to ignore this last paragraph entirely if you do think it looks good on him.
Name: Florence Warbler
Additional info: He's a light mage who left his home town to travel north because back at home they didn't appreciate his magic a lot. All layers of his wardrobe can be found in his image gallery if you wanna count those into his design as well. And as for character unrelated info, feel free to crack down on me. Honest criticism is the best, even if it's based on personal tastes.
