He’s the bassist of an on the rise rock pop band called wild boys 

my boy is a nightshifter in a convenience store, the road is pretty desert and eerie this period, so it kinda sucks (ocasionally his friends visit him there, but they always asks for free snacks so it sucks too). he also plays bass in a garage band with his friends, he really enjoys it and wants to make cool concerts someday!!

Got kind of a strange but fun one. One of the many occupations he held was that of a knocker-up. Obsolete now, but in the era he was from, clocks were unreliable so people would hire others to wake them up for work. It's essentially just getting paid to do this:
