Hexside "Do we die? Of course we do, eternal life would simply destroy the ecosystem" the scientist explained. "Do you not suffer from overpopulation due to that?"

Thatgaycupofcoffee The machine is merely restarted and continues to have the same effects on the Magii as before. He said with a small smile, "I should hope there's no backing out this time."

ShiftingFoxx The man attempted to demonstrate his mercy for the time being by raising his hands slightly, as if at gunpoint after observing the entity's shocked attitude. "Oh, my apologies, I'm Adam, a biologist, if you will. Let's go talk about this then, and I'll bring you some water, he said with a smile, motioning for Crimson to follow him to his main room.

"yea, I guess it depends on if I get hurt or not."

Wyntr The scientist tumbles backwards on impact but an absurd-looking dog barked and leaped in front of him before he could fall to the ground,which gave him the opportunity to maintain himself. The abnormal canine almost seemed to be shielding him. The biologist didn't appear astonished, but he did appear extremely irate. 

"Pathetic" he muttered and kicked the creature hard while it was still on the ground. "I'll ask you again to co-operate"

Thatgaycupofcoffee The scientist grinned, it also made for an excellent test on how much agony this'magii' species could handle, he sat down and had already taken out his notebook as the machine proceeded to draw power and cause what would be terrible pain to most. "I suppose we will just have to find out," he said.

"Jupiter was In a medium amount of pain, but he sighed and calmed down, waiting for it to end." 

Crimson's eye narrowed in scrutiny as the man—Adam, he had said—raised his hands in surrender and then motioned to a... alright-looking room. The woman hesitated for more than one moment, as if unsure if entering this room was a good idea. After all, it could be a trap, something made to keep her here, and then she'd be so far from her son and her domain, and all the people who looked to her for protection as the Archdemon of Protection. (Hell, she really needed to appoint some High Demons for her reigning powers. It'd be great for when she disappears sporadically.) 

But despite her misgivings, the woman obliges and enters the main office room, taking a seat on the nearest sittable object. She seems much calmer, yet still on edge as she says, "Thanks. And good to meet you."

Shoko glanced around the room she had been dumped into, assuming a battle position as she waited for the inevitable attack. She quickly scanned the room, here eyes landing on the other person in the room.

"Who are you, and where am I?" she asked, her fists ready to punch at the first sign of hostility.

“No, I wouldn’t say so. There is about forty of us right now I think.” He mulls it over a bit in his head, but seems to give up trying to remember “Gems to only rise from the ocean every hundred to thousand years, there are a few exceptions sometimes, where twins appear- or like Opal and I, who came to be only a day apart. Other than that though the population is roughly the same all of the time.”

Citrine shrugs “So no, I wouldn’t say overpopulation is a problem for us.”

"Don't worry I'm no threat unless you give me a reason to be one." She said 

Thatgaycupofcoffee the scientist hummed to himself as he continued to scribble and write down notes in accordance to the pain tolerance. "I'm sorry to tell you this isn't exactly a short process" he chuckled "from the past, it's usually taken a couple of hours...";

ShiftingFoxx It seemed the scientist's wording of 'main room' wasn't the best choice of words to most. Because this room was in fact, the main laboratory, it contained the body parts, skulls, brains and blood vials of many abnormal creatures. Some where even seen to be kept in tanks and cages. Some where humanoid whilst others were fully feral, but they all appeared drugged and had didn't seem to be aware of their surroundings. "Sorry for the mess" the biologist chuckled, he gave the woman a glass of water before sitting back down on a nearby stool and this is when his gaze suddenly shifted.

"so what are you?"

WolfieGirlXox "who am i?" The scientist asked in shock "who are you? After all you're in my laboratory. I suggest you explain yourself."

Hexside "Ah so Opal was it... what are they like? Are you two close?" the scientist asked whilst scanning the gem's features up and down.

phantasmagoric "If you say so Dr x" he muttered, not seeming very interested. In comparison to the other beings he had experimented on, this person's powers didn't seem to catch his eye massively, though what does intrigue the scientist is when human-like beings possess supernatural ability.  "Are you willing to tell me you're from yet?" 

" Hm, well that's unfortunate, I do have a couple ways to distract my self from the pain so, ill see if I can do it for that long." *Jupiter hums to himself*

You forgot me.

“Well, they’re a Black Opal specifically.” Citrine starts “He’s quiet, and can get stuck in his own head sometimes, but he’s really intelligent- he’s not the strongest of gems in terms of raw strength, but he’s very agile and fast.” 

The smile on their face gets a little warmer “We’ve been close since I started existing. We’re kind of like twins- expect we’re not twins. He’s the gem I spent most of my time with, Lapis probably being next in line I think…” Citrine trails off “They’re probably really worried right now. We’re never apart for longer than a day.”

Shoko huffed at the man but relented, he seemed genuinely surprised at her arrival. She didn't back down from her battle stance though, better safe than sorry.

"My name is Shoko. I was in a battle when some villain hit me with their quirk, that must have brought me here for some reason." She explained. "Do you know why a villain would send me to your 'lab'?"
