My OC Tomas is an A Dance of Fire and Ice OC! I wouldn't consider the actual game niche, but OCs for it are not too common!
Basically I just wanna see OCs for stuff that barely has an online presence (or doesn't have a lot of OCs), I wanna find media people don't talk about!
I also wanna show off Phoebe and out myself as a YIIK fan (biggest crime against humanity possible).

Kit was a fursuiter at a convention when suddenly a wolf orphnoch attacked him while he was in suit. Even thought he survived thanks to his fursuit, Kit became a fox orphnoch in the process and is now very secretive regarding his orphnoch form. While hiding under an upbeat persona during daytime, on night time however, he shows off his true form as he fights against other orphnochs sent by smart brain to terrorize the city. Whilst also on a quest to unmask the real identity of the wolf who attacked him.

(I've never seen anyone make OCs for the manga. And honestly the manga's quite neat for a food manga)
technically speaking, smeshariki (also known as kikoriki and gogoriki.) is popular in russia and possibly post-soviet countries as well (it also has online presence on runet aka russian side of the internet.), so I wouldn't consider it as niche,
but many non-russians/non-slavs that I told about has never heard of it before.
there's also isn't alot of fan-characters of it on toyhouse, I'm sure it's because of cultural difference, as I mentioned before, it's obscure in other countries like usa, but it is well-known in countries like russia. (and toyhouse is a english-speaking website so here's that.)

Final Fantasy VII is definitely not unpopular by any means, especially with the second Remake game (Rebirth) having been released this year, but i don't see a whole lot of FFVII ocs here so! I present to you my traumatized lady
technically not really a fan-character (which im guessing this is what the threads about) but she is the same fictional species as characters from a old obscure "creepy" youtube video that ive watched over and over for the past few days. im unsure if i can link the video bc there are brief moments of blood and other stuff in it (nothing too bad but just in case) buuuuut its been one of my favorite videos for the past few years!! she is the beast
He's mostly a danganronpa oc but he's also a bit of a Layton oc! That series is so so close to my heart and I'm so excited for the new game coming next year!
He's the Ultimate Puzzle Solver, who looks up to Professor Layton. His personality is just being a gentleman because he loves the Professor so much lol
