Genuinely losing interest in my big oc lore, I wish a bit that it'd be less limited in stuff I can do (for example some planets can only have a few species which makes sense and all for each species' interstellar travel capabilities, but I wish I could make my dragon characters interact with my cat characters ;v;) And its so complex it gets hard to manage all the characters in it

any advice is welcome, I might just scrape all life and personality from it and start over

Eysouel

honestly
if you really want to go ahead, reset it- ive done it before! or clean up and fix tied ends of what may or may not be confusing keep watcha like redo watcha dont!
revise it all!

Apokalypsa

start over, but i would recommend archiving what you have right now. it might be fun to look back on in the future, or maybe you can pull scrapped ideas from your archives in the future.

TenMomentsTill

I've scrapped it all before and I'm currently doing a huge rewrite. If you aren't happy with what you have then archive what you've got and start over. Working with a clean slate can help you overcome the feelings of being limited with your current lore. As well, as you go through it, you can review what you've archived and see if there is anything you want to rework and bring back into the new setting.

Ohhh I can get you so hard. Ive "deleted" 2 my biggest lores, and bruh for me that was hard. But I just...accepted it? Isn't it better to start something new, instead of doing what you just don't want to make. You can rewrite it, but I would recommend you to start with a blank paper. It's hard to just throw all concepts that you did away, so you can took some in your new story, or make an Easter egg. Or just rewrite it all but in something more different or in another genre

I feel you... I've wanted to do this with my main headworld, Clash Of Wings, for a while because the lore has waaaay too many holes in it and it's bugging me that I wrote it so badly (although to be fair I was a kid in middle school when laying its foundation lol) and it had no soul now that I look at it.

But in all seriousness, if you feel it's right, go ahead! It's always nice to have a fresh start.

Honestly, yeah I've done that multiple times, due to the fact that past me was idiotic and doesn't know how to be consistent with lore and such, it's better to start a new then to stay in something you've lost interest in, although it a good idea to archive your old lore, I've never archived mine due to having... Dumb... Things attached to them, that I don't wanna remind myself of, but my currently "deleted" moreso scrapped lore is in my notes, just sitting there, it's mostly a template for the new one! :D You can do it friend, just believe in yourself!

Go and start a new, remember the past lore fondly, but don't stay in the past and go prosper!
