🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an adventure, event, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Egg 🌿

Runic-egg.png

🍃 Elemental eggs are called "runic eggs" for the rune etched into their surface. This peculiar scribble wasn't seen anywhere else before Elles showed up!
🍃 Eggs are diamond-shaped and have facets like a carved gemstone. They're polished nicely and, if you didn't know any better, you might think it to be a real jewel
🍃 Unlike the actual gemstone parts on an Elemental, shells are simply made of specialized calcium
🍃 Shells are very thick and will break into the same sort of chunks you'd expect from a gem. Generally, hatching is a pretty process and may cast little rainbow beams of light if it happens in the sun
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

HannahBug

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Elemental-hatchling.png

🍃 Elles are marked with a strange rune on a square plate on the forehead, the first belly scale which is also a square, and the diamond-shaped gem tail tip. Seemingly, this rune depicts a Snakekey holding an egg
🍃 These keke have smaller manes than most types begin with, but retain the fairly large ears. They're swooping triangle shapes with two points, one big and one small. They also have a little fluff on the tips of their tails
🍃 The head plate, belly scales, and tail gem are made of a shiny material that seems to be a very dense gemstone. They're super resistant to scratching or chipping
🍃 Elementals have an air of mystery about them. This subspecies is essentially nine packed into one...! This has made them quite the point of study and keke still have a difficult time predicting what each hatchling will turn into
🍃 Note that you can convert an Elle into a different element early! If you want to do that, see the next post

🌿 Elemental Conversion 🌿

Elemental eggs and hatchlings begin with the element of "neutral". While they can take on a different element before hatching or in the hatchling phase, it's easier to do so at the young phase. See the guides below for how to convert your keke into a different element, choosing one of the three methods that you prefer. Or, if you wish to proceed as neutral, simply skip this step and go to the next post!

Most likely, an Elle will take on their element at the young phase. They don't get any magical advantages for doing things this way - it's run-of-the-mill! To convert a young, you'll need an approved Elle hatchling first. You'll do the prompt below during the hatchling phase and submit it in your young approval's description form, in which the keke will be converted to the breed of your choosing : )

🌸 Prompt: Elementals that shift at this older age often have a melodramatic, soulful calling to their to-be element. You'll often have kids trying to go on grand quests, tearing through entire libraries, or going through hyperactive artistic phases as they try to figure out what the heck is going on with them. They don't know it, but this totally isn't nessisary. The shift would happen if they went on a journey for it or not!
🍒 Write 300 words or draw a colored fullbody (shading or a background required) of the keke going through (or skipping) their melodramatic soul-searching phase

🌱 After completing the prompt with an Elemental hatchling, you can draw that keke as a young of your desired type and put them through aging approvals!
🌱 Be sure to read that type's hatchling MYO information, as this tells you what colors things will need to be in their new form
🌱 Note that despite doing this prompt during the hatchling phase, you should not draw your Elle as a converted hatchling! That's a different thing! (see tab above)
🌱 Add a "Conversion art:" field to your description form that links to your, well, conversion art!
🌱 Also add an "Neutral hatchling" field that links to your original app of the hatchling as a Neutral

Tempest_young.pngVerdant_young.pngGlacial_young.png

While not super common, some Elles can convert into an element early, happening during the hatchling phase instead of the expected young phase! Keke converted as hatchlings will be able to start learning magic at this phase instead of waiting until young. To convert a hatchling, you must have an approved Elle hatchling first! Then, you'll do these prompts and actually resubmit the kiddo through approvals, albeit in the aging apps this time

🌸 Prompt 1: Neutrals that are going to shift early are often drawn towards their to-be element to a noticeable degree. This is fine for say wind and earth, but might be a touch stressful for one's caretakers in the case of something like...fire
🍒 Write 300 words or draw a colored fullbody (shading or a background required) of the keke being attracted to the element that you want to shift them into
🌸 Prompt 2: Sometimes the conversion process happens slowly with a Neutral gradually taking on traits of a different breed. Other times, they may go to bed a Neutral and wake up as something else! What's the case for yours?
🍒 Write 300 words or draw a colored fullbody (shading or a background required) of the keke morphing into their new element

🌱 After completing the second prompt with an Elemental hatchling, you can now choose which element to change that keke into! Draw up your keke as a hatchling of that type and resubmit them through approvals (put them in the aging folder this time, though! They won't actually age to young yet, this just makes my job easier : ) )
🌱 Be sure to read that type's hatchling MYO information, as this tells you what colors things will need to be in their new form
🌱 Add a "Conversion art:" field to your description form that links to your, well, conversion art!
🌱 Also add an "Neutral hatchling" field that links to your original app of the hatchling as a Neutral

Flicker_hatchling.pngStandby_hatchling.pngSwept_hatchling.png

All Elemental eggs start as runic eggs, but can be turned into specific types before they even hatch...! This shifts them into a different shape and changes what they'll need in order to coax babies out (eg soaking, warming, etc). Hatchlings will directly match an element instead of being neutral upon creation. In addition, they'll have one magic starter for their type (of your choice) auto-unlocked and will be able to begin learning magic from the hatchling stage instead of young

🌸 Prompt 1: Who is this egg's "caretaker"? Do they intend to keep the baby inside or are they just one set of paws it will pass through?
🍒 Write 300 words or draw a colored fullbody (shading or a background required) of a keke/PC with the egg
🌸 Prompt 2: Elemental shifting doesn't happen without prompting. Er, sort of. The egg will need to be exposed to the element it is to become at least for a little while. Some elements, like earth, are incredibly stubborn and may require unique experiences. You can't just touch the ground to turn to earth - every Elemental would be earth that way! Fire, however, is much less common for a baby to interact with and can change them in a flash. How does the egg get exposed to its future element?
🍒 Write 300 words or draw a colored fullbody (shading or a background required) of a the egg's caretaker exposing it to its element
🌸 Prompt 3: As mentioned prior, the egg's needs have now changed. Is the caretaker in-the-know or simply baffled at why the baby is taking forever to hatch?
🍒 Write 300 words or draw a colored fullbody (shading or a background required) of a keke/PC caring for (or failing to adapt to) the converted egg

🌱 Caretakers do not have to be the same per prompt. You can change them each time, if you like!
🌱 After completing the third prompt with a single egg, you can now choose which element that egg will be upon hatching it
🌱 Add a "Conversion art:" field to your hatchling application that links to your, well, conversion art!
🌱 Also add a "Starter spell:" field and pick which of the three starters for their element your hatchling will auto-unlock

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿Elemental-young.png

🍃 Young Elles look pretty similar to their younger counterparts other than having a longer mane that may begin to curl, may not, and larger ears
🍃 Neutral Elementals can be proficient in magic types as opposed to three! Two of these can be unlocked now (or later, if you like), but the other two will have to be unlocked through other methods such as The College of Whatever or guild membership
🍃 Young tend to look pretty mysterious with their strange color methods available. Covered in shimmering plates or unknown glowing words is a daunting (but impressive) look!

🌿 Young Creation 🌿Elemental-young-aging-guide.png

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Color method > Choose a coloring method below and then design your keke with it!
🌼Method A: Add shards of crystal-like material anywhere on the body in any amount. These should be flat (eg no protruding crystals), but can otherwise be any shape or shape. Match the belly scales in color
🌻Method B: Use 0-1 color to add rune-like markings anywhere on the keke. Runes can generally be anything, they should just look rune-like (weird squiggles yes, smiley faces no). These can glow slightly. Glow will be the same color as the rune itself (but it's fine if you put it on an add layer or something)

💫 1 > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things
💫 2 > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both
💫 3 > Color points - Youth
A.k.a. the belly color tingeing that hatchlings have is either resurfacing or appearing for the first time on your Snakekey. Same rules apply: it can be on the face, arms, and tail, going a max of halfway up each. However, it can now be any color

26845087-UK9tmu8ik-ODxjo-N.png

💫 2 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!

26845097-Cahp-Xl5x-Ha-B5-BS4.png

💫 1 > Short stature - Youth
Your keke doesn't seem to have grown much...a common sign of an oncoming goblin morph. Allows them to be shorter than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though! This "upgrade" has a tendency to make them look a stage or two too young via underdeveloped face, body, etc

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an adventure, event, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Egg 🌿Bubble-egg.png

🍃 Tempest Elemental eggs, called "bubble eggs", have transparent shells and are filled with semi-murky water. There's a tiny air bubble that floats at the top, but babies will rarely be up there
🍃 Being round, it's very easy for these eggs to roll around. Babies probably won't notice, though. The water moves basically-independently of the surrounding walls á la the Bucket Argument. Shaking, though. Shaking is Not Cool
🍃 As hatchlings are fully aquatic, eggs simply will not hatch unless totally submerged in water as a safety mechanism
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Tempest-hatchling.png

🍃 Temps technically hatch way too early, but this doesn't... kill them or anything, so they never evolved out of it
🍃 Being underdeveloped, hatchlings have eyes that look too big for their heads, itty bitty teardrop-shaped cheek pouches, almost furless ear-sticks (with a little curl at the bottom!), weird paddle-like hands, and attached teeth that haven't even formed yet
🍃 Babies are fully aquatic and unable to survive on land! Because of this, parents tend to carry them around in little jars of water. They'll have a bigger place to swim at home, but they need to weigh less to be portable
🍃 Since they're submerged in liquid, the clouds that would usually follow a Temp are unable to form...! Hatchlings look to have a little blob of water stuck to their heads
🍃 Tempest belly scales start with a triangle shape with the rest being zig-zagged. The central paw pads have a little spiral in them. There's a long, spiral-y fin that runs along the back which, in babies, forms a massive baby fin to aid them in darting around in the water

🌿 Hatchling Creation 🌿

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Bases > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet. The water on the head can be white, blue, green, brown, transparent, red, or pink
🍂 3: Accents > Pick two solid colors. The first goes on the cheek pouches, paw pads, and blood. The second goes on the fins, including the baby fin!
🍂 4: Belly scales > Goes on the belly scales and mouth/tongue. This can be any blue, white, or green. In addition, a hatchling's face, tail tip, and/or limbs can be tinged the belly color. This can carry as far as halfway up each area and is an optional feature. Temps can be warm or cold-blooded regardless of belly scale color
🍂 5: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Snakekeys do not have visible pupils.

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿Tempest-young.png

🍃 Young Tempests are a little behind everybody else in development, but they're much closer to caught up than their hatchling phase. The ears are fluffier, but still not full sized while the fangs attached to the face are present, but very nubby. Meanwhile, the hands develop into pointy, medium-length fingers with webs in between, and their cheek pouches grow to normal size. Tiny fins sprout from the elbows, but they're not even long enough to curl yet
🍃 At this age, keke are no longer aquatic! They lose the ability to breathe underwater and their huge baby fin falls off
🍃 Now that they've had a chance to turn into the right state of matter, clouds will form into a head tuft, mane, and tail tuft! If a keke submerges, these may remain as clouds or transform into blobs of water like in the hatchling phase. It depends keke to keke
🍃 Temps are descent to great swimmers and often enjoy being in the water. They don't depend on staying soggy, but those water adaptations are just sittin' there otherwise...!
🍃 Tempests have water magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning water magic if they like

🌿 Young Creation 🌿Tempest-Young-Aging-Guide.png

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on! The clouds that develop should match the general color that the water drop on the head used to be, but don't have to be exactly the same (if you used green, you can pick a different green for the clouds). Alternatively, clouds can be white or grey, which can be tinted a color, but only a tiny bit...! The webs in the fingers and added fins will all be the fin color
🍂 3: Color method > Choose a coloring method below
🌼Method A: 0-2 colors from the cloud hair
            🌻Method B: Fin and/or accent color
🍂 4: Design > Design your Snakekey with the colors you've chosen! Temp markings don't have size restrictions, so you're free to do whatever you like! You can also use gradients if desired. Be sure you've removed belly color tingeing if your Snakekey had any - they've grown out of it!

🌿 Youth 🌿Tempest-youth.png

🍃 By the time they're teens, you wouldn't suspect that a Tempest hatched super early. They look just fine! The ears are now the correct fluffiness and the teeth are developed
🍃 Youth elbow fins are curly like the back fin, but that's of least concern! More interestingly, the clouds begin to darken and occasional crackles of itty bitty lightning flash through them
🍃 Temps of this age have typically finished at least their water magic starters (it's a good thing to work on when one is bored)

🌿 Youth Creation 🌿

Elemental-vents.png26845087-UK9tmu8ik-ODxjo-N.pngRainbows.png

💫 1 > Elemental vents - Equinox and Elemental only - Youth
Small openings in the skin that display a Nox or Elemental breed's element in any way that makes sense (ie fire can have flames, smoke, sparks...). Vents will not emit a significant of output. So, a wind-elemental will not put out so much wind that it blows others away. Output may be any color
💫 2 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!
💫 3 > Rainbows - Tempest Elemental and Aida only - Youth
Rainbows crop up from the mane or otherwise available fluff (head tuft, tail tip, etc). While typically Roy G. Biv, rainbows can be any color

💫 2 > Superstorm - Tempest Elemental only - Youth
There must be something in the air because your lightning is going crazy...! Add way more lightning than usual within the clouds. Should match the accent color unless upgraded otherwise and may glow. May add lightning to types without, though it will be restricted to fluff (such as the mane, a head tuft, etc). If you're totally bald, you're out of luck!
💫 3 > Webby mittens - Tempest Elemental only - Youth
Return to the underdeveloped Tempest hatchling paws with undefined fingers and pancake hands. Does not change colors

Weepy-pouches.png

💫 1 > Weepy pouches - Tempest Elemental only - Youth
Shrink the cheek pouches down to small teardrop shapes located beneath the eyes. Does not change colors. May add pouches to types without

🌿 Adult 🌿Tempest-adult.png

🍃 An adult Temp's clouds may darken a little more or they may stay the same shade as they were in the youth phase. It varies from keke to keke. One thing's for sure: those clouds start to pour! Itty bitty rain starts to drip from the mane, head tuft, and tail tip, though it tends to behave more like an overfull sponge than a storm. The water that falls evaporates rapidly after getting about a foot away from its original location, returning to the clouds as a vapor to be rained again later
🍃 Older Tempests may have more lightning than they did as teenagers or they may not. It depends on the severity of the storm they're carrying!

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Egg 🌿

Heated-Egg.png

🍃 Flicker eggs are called "heated eggs" thanks to their high internal temperature. They border on "uncomfortably toasty" for those with thin skin to "fairly warm" for less burnable individuals
🍃 Shells are mostly a tough, leathery material usually of a darker coloration, but will have at least one patchy area where the shell is more transparent. Here, light from the glowy baby inside shows through!
🍃 Unhatched hatchlings will instinctively dull their light when placed in darker environments by shifting their body to conceal their tail tips. This is a survival mechanism to keep eggs from being too predator-attracting
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Flicker-hatchling.png

🍃 Flickers don't have soft, squishy cheek pouches. Instead, they have hard fangs and claws! These serve the same purpose as cheek pouches and will put of a castoff when used
🍃 A Flick only has two upper fangs at birth. These sit in notches on the lower jaw, which aren't noticeable unless a keke opens their mouth
🍃 The ears on these guys are a bit poofier than average and travel further down the jawline. The claws are non-retractable and there are three on each paw. The belly scales start with a 'V'-shaped notch out of them with the rest of the scales being 'V'-shaped too. The baby fin is pronged, usually with around three points, and a small fire burns at the tip of the tail
🍃 The fire on a Flicker will be warm or cold to match their blood temperature, but neither of these will burn unless the owner wants them to! You're generally safe to stick your hand in there, but you should probably ask first. Drastically heating or cooling the fire is a defense mechanism designed to keep the keke safe and it can be activated by spooking them!
🍃 A Flick's fire will not spread off of them nor will it extinguish when wet. Granted, that doesn't mean it won't make a heck ton of hissing and popping if you submerge it...

Keke with white/cream scales are warm-blooded and brown scales are cold-blooded. Warm-blooded keke can have red, orange, or yellow fire. Cold-blooded keke can have blue, white, or green fire

🌿 Young 🌿

Flicker-young.png

🍃 Young Flicks have slightly larger fangs and claws. While their ear fluff remains roughly the same length, they'll lose their baby fin in the traditional manner
🍃 The tail tip fire spreads with age, creeping higher up the tail. Young keke also get a smallish flame atop their heads!
🍃 Little Flickers are often active, agile creatures (when they're not busy being clumsy). Imagine a baby horse. A baby horse that is on fire
🍃 Flickers have fire magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning fire magic if they like

🌿 Youth 🌿

Flicker-youth.png

🍃 Youths see their fire mane spread up their tail, stopping around the hips. The flame "bangs" become more sizeable and the fire from their heads bleeds down, giving them a mane on the backs of their necks. This leaves an empty non-fire spot on the torso area. Don't worry, that'll fill in later
🍃 Flickers of this age get a bit longer in the tooth and claw. This is fairly noticeable, as the fangs will likely start to protrude past the lower jaw
🍃 The fire is always increasing in size with a Flick's age to appear more proportionate, but it's around this time where it starts migrating from "cute little baby flames" to "big imposing adult bonfire". It won't have reached its maximum height at the youth phase, but peers will often compare their fires to see who has the biggest one. These contests are highly variable and constantly ongoing, as it's pretty difficult to measure something as wobbly and inconsistent as a flame mane

Back-burner.png26845013-a-KTyappg-X18xlx7.png26845022-z-Lsi9i-WE6l-H7-L1a.png

💫1 > Back burner - Flicker Elemental only - Youth
Reduce the flames to a smaller size. Note that this does not change colors nor can it remove the flames completely. Cannot add flames to other types, but can interact with other fire-based upgrades
💫 2 > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things
💫 3 > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both

26845055-BNK9v-Nli-P47-Bw6-E.pngElemental-vents.pngEmber-cheeks.png

💫 1 > Drowsiness - Youth
Bags under your eyes because no, mom, you weren't up late last night
💫 2 > Elemental vents - Equinox and Enchanted only - Youth
Small openings in the skin that display a Nox or Enchanted breed's element in any way that makes sense (ie fire can have flames, smoke, sparks...). Vents will not emit a significant of output. So, a wind-elemental will not put out so much wind that it blows others away. Output may be any color
💫 3 > Ember cheeks - Flicker Elemental only  - Youth
The keke develops glowing, ember-like markings on the cheek area, imitating a cheek pouch (though these can spread out about double the size of a usual pouch). Embers may be any color. These will not produce a castoff if pouch magic is used. If added to a type with cheek pouches, this can just go on top!

26845057-Amyctv-ZJPOSeir-S.png26845087-UK9tmu8ik-ODxjo-N.pngTwisty-fangs.png

💫 1 > Fin shreds - Youth
Is your baby fin trying to grow back...?! How embarrassing... Small bits of fins on the end of a keke's tail. Must be the color the baby fin was originally.
💫 2 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!
💫 3 > Twisty fangs - Youth
The fangs grow in a curled formation! This can look like the example image or be a looser spin. Fangs should stay about the usual size for age/type or can be shrunk slightly to account for the twist. This upgrade does not change colors. It cannot effect attached teeth like regular keke have, but can be applied to external ones like in Fakekeys and Flicker Elementals! It may also effect upgrades that give a type external teeth such as sabers or tusks

🌿 Adult 🌿

Flicker-adult.png

🍃 Adult Flickers will have completed their fire mane, running completely from tail tip to almost the end of the muzzle! The fire is pretty sizeable unless shrunk by upgrades
🍃 The claws and fangs will get a bit longer at this age before ultimately reaching their natural cap. Interestingly, Flicker keratin doesn't constantly grow to the degree we see on Earth rodents, but it will regenerate very quickly back to full size if they nick a tooth or claw!
🍃 Claws and fangs can be lost, but it's generally quite difficult for a Flicker to do such a thing. They're very determined to stay at their "proper" length and will have to be 100% missing to not regrow

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an event or something similar. They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Egg 🌿

Waiting-egg.png

🍃 Verdant eggs, otherwise known as "waiting eggs" appear to be simple seeds. They're called this as the hatchlings inside patiently wait for someone to care for them properly, fulfilling their hatch conditions
🍃 Eggs must be buried beneath about an inch of soil, watered regularly, and exposed to partial sun, just like your typical plant. After few days of this treatment, the shell will crack, letting out what appears to be a small sprout. This is the baby's tail tip! Continued care will see their tail slowly slither out more and more until the baby spills from the egg
🍃 If hatch conditions suddenly stop being fulfilled during the process, the keke is liable to actually crawl back inside their egg...! Instincts tell them they may not have a guardian in this case, making it safer to stay inside
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Verdant-hatcling.png

🍃 Verdes see a lot of change over their lifespan, especially in areas such as their cheek pouches! These are in constant flux until adulthood, totally changing shape and color each phase. At this age, the cheek pouch is pretty small and (American) football-shaped with a seam running through it.
🍃 Hatchlings' ears and tails are leaves, but they're curled up on themselves tightly at this age with an extra waxy, rubbery underside exposed to keep those more tear-able bits safe for later
🍃 The manes and wrist feathering on babies is very small! These are technically complete leaves unlike the ears and tail tip, but they're very thin and blade-like for now
🍃 The belly scales are almond-shaped plates with a visible seam through the center (which may or may not reach the bottom of each scale). The first belly scale points up while the rest point down. Belly scales in Verdes are abnormally hard and armor-like compared to most other keke. The reason for this isn't entirely clear, but it's probably to keep them from being too easy a snack...!
🍃 At least one vine sprouts from each hatchling's tail tip and will generally coil tightly around the tail. These aren't really useful - just a byproduct of the vegetation they grow
🍃 While definitely keke, Verdants are also...definitely plants. They're capable of slight photosynthesis, have some of the same cells that give plants their coloration, and have sap in place of blood. This makes them somewhat of an anatomical mystery (or topic fascination if you're a doctor/scientist nerd)
🍃 While they commonly only have one tail-tip leaf at this age, hatchlings can have up to three. In the same vein, they may have 2-3 ear leaves which will descend in size the further down the head they get

🌿 Hatchling Creation 🌿

Verdant-hatchling-MYO-guide.png

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here! While a Verde should have at least one bit of vine on their tail tip, you can be as crazy or conservative with this as you like! Just note that vines are naked - no leaves or flowers
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. If desired, you can color the wrist and/or mane leaves with 1 color the same type as the base (eg pink leaves for a pink base)
🍂 3: Accent > Any solid color. This goes on the ears, tail tip leaf, and vines for now
🍂 4: Belly scales > Goes on the belly scales, mouth/tongue, and paw pads. This should be the same type of color as the base (eg yellow scales for a yellow base)
🍂 5: Cheek pouches > At this age, the cheek pouch is one solid color. You'll use this again in the young phase, but it'll be shed in later years, note!
🍂 6: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Snakekeys do not have visible pupils.

🌿 Young 🌿
Verdant-young.png

🍃 The ear and tail leaves partially unfurl at the young phase. You can see the insides, but they're still mostly rolled up on themselves! The waxy undersides are still quite visible, but notably not the base color of the leaves anymore
🍃 If you had two sets of ears in the hatchling phase and want three sets now, you can add an extra set on here! (Max 3 sets). They may also grow more leaves on their tail (no limit - they just have to stay on the tip!)
🍃 The seed capsule of the cheek pouches split, allowing a leaf or two to start to emerge! These leaves will be the accent color
🍃 The keke's working on growing more vegetation on their body, but for now, they just kind of have weird nubs on their back...? These are very small, fleshy, and don't have their own color yet
🍃 The leaves on the wrists and mane broaden out, looking more like what you'd see on a tree instead of grass or something
🍃 Verdes are known to have a period of reduced activity, though the season this occurs within varies. Most commonly, they'll be very sluggish and majorly asleep in either the hottest or the coldest months
🍃 The tail vines may grow in number, but are not necessarily required to
🍃 Peculiarly, young Verdants do not develop a design! This happens later in the youth phase
🍃 Verdes have earth magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning earth magic if they like

🍂 3: Accent > The ear and tail leaves will now majorly be the base color with the accent color being on these leaves' undersides. This may appear as a gradient or solid blob (all leaves don't have to match - you can blob some and gradient others)
🍂 4: Cheek pouches > The seed capsule part of the pouches should be the same color that it was in the hatchling phase. The leaf emerging from the seed will match the accent color

🌿 Youth 🌿
Verdant-youth.png

🍃 Youths' tail leaves are now fully unfurled. The ear leaves are majorly there, but remain a bit dog-eared or twisted at the tips. This is a common sign of youth in Verdes and they often get confused when other types of teens don't have the telltale ear-flop, assuming most other youths to be adults. Oops!
🍃 The seed capsule parts of the cheek pouches are shed, pushed aside by the leafy segment as it grows in side. Alongside these leaves, the petals of a flower will start to form! While not in full bloom, it's still a nice dash of color that is often shown off among peers
🍃 The mane leaves increase in size, reaching their max range in this age phase. Instead of growing further, the wrist leaves are accompanied by flower petals just like the cheek pouch
🍃 A large bud develops on the tip of the tail, nestled among the leaves there. Keke will excitedly wait for this flower to open, often having a coming-of-age party when it does
🍃 The nubs from the young phase are definitely tiny leaves now, accompanied by itty bitty buds

🍂 3: Color catch-up > Choose 1 color for all the new budding flowers! If you have a separate color for the mane/wrist leaves, you may also apply this color to the leaves along the back. If this is not the case, you can optionally pick 1 color for the back leaves that is the same type of color as the base (eg pink leaves for a pink base)

💫1 > Bedhead - Youth
An enhanced version of head fluff that looks worse and is generally terrible. Grows on the top of the head and doesn't heed your mortal laws. Sticks up wherever it pleases and can't be tamed no matter how hard you try. Sometimes, this can form in small amounts on the chin or right above the mouth. Unlike regular head fluff, bedhead can go to the base of the neck at its maximum (excepting the bits on the muzzle, those stay short)
💫 2 > Big splotches - Verdant Elemental only - Youth
Big smudges of discoloration that can go anywhere on the base, leaves, or flowers. This should generally be a paler or darker type of the base color or a brown
💫 3 > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things

💫 2 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!
💫 3 > Jungly - Verdant Elemental only - Youth
More vines form anywhere on the body in any amount! These must remain naked - no leaves and no flowers. Added vines may be any color

Malnourished.png26845090-r-NZp-Gg-Xr6t-Wtr-Vd.png26845097-Cahp-Xl5x-Ha-B5-BS4.png

💫 1 > Malnourished - Verdant Elemental only - Youth
You need some more sun or something... : ( The tail leaves are all wilty! This may also make the leaves and/or bud appear stunted or slightly paled, but otherwise doesn't change color. If applied to a type without tail leaves/flowers, this can make their tail tip (or tail bauble - bells for Shinies, fins for Wyrms, etc) unnecessarily droopy
💫 2 > Missing teeth - Youth
The teeth attached to your face are falling out again.... Hopefully they all grow back
💫 3 > Short stature - Youth
Your keke doesn't seem to have grown much...a common sign of an oncoming goblin morph. Allows them to be shorter than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though! This "upgrade" has a tendency to make them look a stage or two too young via underdeveloped face, body, etc

Wilting-ears.png

💫 1 > Wilting ears - Verdant Elemental only - Youth
The ears are clearly upset, as they've gone all crunchy! This can give the ears a tattered or wobbly outline and may counteract the youth dog-earing. Does not change colors. If applied to other types, this can make their ears wobbly/tattered

🌿 Adult 🌿
Verdant-adult.png

🍃 Adults are in full bloom! The buds down their back blossom into small flowers and their tail tip bursts into full size. The flowers on their wrists and cheek pouches will grow to max size as well. In the cheek pouches' case, the little leaves will likely be overwhelmed by the big ol' petals (you can have them showing or hide them beneath the petals)
🍃 The bent tips of the ear leaves will straighten out, showing their adult length
🍃 All of a Verde's flowers may have visible centers and/or stamens of any style you like within the realm of reality (fantasy ones will be an upgrade : ) )

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an adventure, event, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Egg 🌿Plaster-egg.png

🍃 Swept Elemental eggs are called "plaster eggs", as they're covered in sheets of paper-like material. Adults seem to be able to weave this stuff from... somewhere...? It usually comes from the clouds, but keke without clouds seem to find a way as well... Whatever the case, Swepts will cover their eggs in layers of plaster for protection (even if it's not specifically a Swept egg!)
🍃 These eggs should most certainly not be soaked. This would dissolve all that plaster that the parent(s) worked so hard on! They'll hatch in warm, dark environments such as a hollow tree or under your blankets
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Sw-ept-hatchling.png

🍃 Swept hatchlings are capable of short flights and gliding, but you probably wouldn't guess by looking at them. Their arms end in big, fleshy "wing fingers" and they have five small tail fins - two on each side and one at the tip. These things look much to heavy to sustain flight, but hatchlings fly anyway. They have places to be
🍃 Swepts have large ears with hairless insides, smooth mouths, belly scales that curl into spirals, and a head tuft and mane made from cloud. This usually is the same temperature type as their blood, but distinctly feels more like a very soft fabric than fine water vapor
🍃 Babies tend to be somewhat skittish in temperament. They often hang around quiet and more peaceful individuals and scatter onto nearby perches when somebody noisy comes over
🍃 Swept kids make almost no noise despite having a mouth. They seem to be able to wordlessly convey what they want to bystanders at will...

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿Sw-ept-young.png

🍃 Instead of getting heavier with age, Swepts get lighter. They don't actually get lighter than they were in the hatchling phase, they just don't weigh as much as they should
🍃 During the young phase, a Swept keke will be able to produce a sort of silk from their saliva glands. They'll use this to make themselves a chrysalis where they'll hang out and metamorphize!
🍃 The wing fingers shrink in size to better fit inside the chrysalis. The tail fins appear smaller, but just haven't grown with the keke. Once the young is wrapped up, the mane clouds will "shut off", supposedly in order to not cause any disturbances. As soon as there's access to fresh air, it'll return
🍃 Each Swept will be inside their chrysalis for a varying amount of time. They seem to instinctually know how much time they'll need and will begin building when their timer's up. Some young spend the majority of this phase out and wandering around only to transform in the span of a few minutes! Others may go into their chrysalis right away, taking years to fully mature
🍃 Swepts have wind magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning wind magic if they like

🌿 Young Creation 🌿

Sw-ept-young-aging-guide.png

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here. They can be drawn in their chrysalis or outside it, up to you! Their clouds will be "off" if inside

🌿 Youth 🌿Sw-ept-youth.png

🍃 Upon hatching from their chrysalis, Swept keke will be youths! Some interesting things will have happened while they were in there. They'll now have longer necks, no mouth, and two smallish wing limbs sprouting behind their arms. Currently, these have "sheets" that are folded up, but they'll mature into something more flight-able later
🍃 A Swept will have lost their tail tip fin, but the other four on the sides will have merged into a sort of paddle at the tip of the tail
🍃 Youths have long, slender arms with three, semi-pointed fingers and a central paw pad (accent color). These will usually face inwards like a raptor and cannot pronate (face palm-down). They can however, supinate (face palm-up) and even twist further in that direction a little bit...! What this is useful for (besides scaring your friends) is unclear
🍃 Now that their mouth is gone, Swepts actually feed by absorbing air into their manes. Keke who have lost their manes seem to do this via magic instead
🍃 They can still communicate with others by using their somewhat spooky semi-telepathy ability

🌿 Youth Creation 🌿

💫 1 > Blotches - Youth
It looks like sores, but it's just little dots of the accent color appearing on the face. Scaled keke may try and pick off the affected scales, but this isn't a great idea, please don't pull scales out of things
💫 2 > Chubby - Youth
Maybe one day, this'll convert into a fae morph's figure. Until then, you've got a bit of a belly going on. Note that this shouldn't be a dramatic change - just noticeable. Can be on the torso, naga tail, or both
💫 3 > Cloudfluff - Swept and Tempest Elemental only - Youth
Add one additional cloud tuft anywhere on a keke. Tufts may be symmetrical if applicable (eg, you can put them on both wrists, wings, etc). May be any size and color

26845025-7-B6-O9p-Jj-QNc-Ob1q.pngElemental-vents.pngFlappy-fingertips.png

💫 3 > Color points - Youth
A.k.a. the belly color tingeing that hatchlings have is either resurfacing or appearing for the first time on your Snakekey. Same rules apply: it can be on the face, arms, and tail, going a max of halfway up each. However, it can now be any color
💫 1 > Elemental vents - Equinox and Enchanted only - Youth
Small openings in the skin that display a Nox or Enchanted breed's element in any way that makes sense (ie fire can have flames, smoke, sparks...). Vents will not emit a significant of output. So, a wind-elemental will not put out so much wind that it blows others away. Output may be any color
💫 3 > Flappy fingertips - Swept Elemental only - Youth
Revert the hands to what they looked like in the younger phases with wing fingers. May keep the paw pad or remove it. Added bits can be any color. There's no min or max required fingers for this upgrade. Can be used to apply young Swept wing fingers to a non-Swept. Not flight-able

26845087-UK9tmu8ik-ODxjo-N.pngMouth-marking.pngPruney-panels.png

💫 1 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!
💫 2: > Mouth marking - Looksee and Swept Elemental only - Youth
A marking that goes where the mouth would usually be that looks like a mouth itself. Can have any level of detail and be any color, however, this thing doesn't move with emotion. You think. Maybe...?
💫 1 > Pruney panels - Swept Elemental only - Youth
Eugh... apparently it was a bit moist in that chrysalis. Some or all of the wing sheets have a pruned look to them like what happens to your fingers if you stay in the water for too long. Does not change colors. Does not work on other keke/PC types unless they have some sort of thin membrane it can be applied to (eg Nightling wings)

🌿 Adult 🌿Sw-ept-adult.png

🍃 The sheets on an adult's wings and tail will have fanned out! These teardrop-shaped panels are great for catching the breeze, allowing the keke - who still weigh as much as a hatchling - to glide and delicately fly around
🍃 Adults grow a few nubs along their arms like some bug legs have (these are fleshy, though)
🍃 The hand will have extended, giving these guys what appears to be a quad-jointed arm. It's not, though! They just have really long metacarpals

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular MYO rules apply with the exception of the following:
🌱 This type of keke must be obtained through an adventure, event, etc... They are not open to make unless you've earned one!

🌿 Egg 🌿Grim-egg.png

🍃 Standby Elemental eggs are called "grim eggs", though it's suspected this is just because it sounds cool...
🍃 Shells appear to swirl with a shadowy fog that often betrays the eye color of the baby inside. This fog isn't tangible at all - it's like it's contained within the shell walls themselves
🍃 Grim eggs will not hatch if exposed to light. Keep 'em in your closet for a little while and the hatchlings will pop right out
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Standby-hatchling.png

🍃 Standby keke are commonly called Anbies (singular: Anby) for short. It's a mashup of their two-word name
🍃 Hatchlings have a very short mane that extends to the top of the head as well as an itty bitty tuft of tail fur. Their ears are short triangles. This fluff won't grow much during their life
🍃 The belly scales on an Anby are much thinner than on most keke. A minimum of six "ribs" will extend off this center strip (three on each side), though they can have many more that occur anywhere they naturally have ribs. Since they're a snake, this leaves them with quite a few options - their ribs go down their whole naga body! Aside from the connecting points of the rib scales, belly scales are seamless without visible scales. Starting and ending points (such as on the chest and the rib scale tips) may be rounded or sharp
🍃 They have flat, elephantine feet with a bit of a knobby wrist. Each paw will have three claws that, at this age, are very small and blunt
🍃 The cheek pouches are a stripe that runs from the lower edge of the eye to the jawline
🍃 An Anby's cross-shaped pupils can make them look pretty ominous, but right now, they're so little and chubby that it might be hard not to laugh at those big ol' eyes
🍃 It's very unlikely that you'll catch these guys being afraid of the dark... Little Standbyes often make it a point to be active at night and sit in shadows. Not necessarily for mischief - they just like it!

🌿 Hatchling Creation 🌿

Standby-MYO-hatchling-guide.png

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here! An Anby must have at least 6 rib scales (3 on each side), but can have more anywhere they naturally have ribs (this includes the naga tail)
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet. You can optionally pick 1 more color for the mane and/or tail tip fluff
🍂 3: Accents > Pick two solid colors. One goes on the cheek pouches, the other goes on the claws. You can choose which, if not both, accents you use for the blood
🍂 4: Belly scales > Goes on the belly scales and mouth/tongue. This can be any 1 dark color. Try to keep it at least below middle darkness on your color slider! In addition, a hatchling's face, tail tip, and/or limbs can be tinged the belly color. This can carry as far as halfway up each area and is an optional feature. Anbies are cold-blooded regardless of scale color
🍂 5: Eyes > These keke have two eye colors: one for the cross pupils and another for the sclera (eye white). Both eyes must match

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿Standby-young.png

🍃 As they age, a Standby's teeth will actually grow more than their fuzzy bits. While the mane and tail tip can get minutely longer, their fangs will look more impressive
🍃 Young Anbies' claws are still fairly dull, though not as much as they used to be. They become tipped with the other accent color and start to grow a small thumb. Like their claws, the cheek pouches too become dual-colored
🍃 These keke get pretty long in the neck and arms. This starts to become noticeable now that they're not quite such chubby babies
🍃 Young start to produce a strange, wispy smoke. Though this will spread as they age, it begins in only one place: the tail, the neck, or the head
🍃 Smoke is fairly... viscous...? It's often likened to ectoplasm due to the Standby's affinity for darkness. It floats thickly through the air and can sometimes look like lava lamp globs or oil in water. Solid objects will pass through it, but the smoke will attempt to cling to itself for as long as it can endure the tension
🍃 Standbyes have shadow magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning shadow magic if they like

🌿 Young Creation 🌿

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Smoke > An Anby's smoke will be one or both of the eye colors. Usually, these would be blended with a gradient, but they can also be solidly blobbed together. Smoke can have simple shapes inside of it such as dots, circles, spirals, hearts, or stripes. If a Standby has been upgraded to have more eye colors than their original 2, the smoke may reflect this with additional colors
🍂 4: Color method > Choose a coloring method below
🌼Method A: 0-3 dark colors. Try to pick below middle darkness on your color slider!
🌻Method B: Use one or both of the accent colors to make markings
🍂 5: Design > Design your Snakekey with the colors you've chosen! Standby markings don't have size restrictions, so you're free to do whatever you like. You can also use gradients if desired. Be sure you've removed belly color tingeing if your Snakekey had any - they've grown out of it!

🌿 Youth 🌿Standby-youth.png

🍃 Older keke have longer necks and arms, though they won't have reached their full length. The arms are pretty close, but the neck isn't as serpentine as it'll go
🍃 A second patch of smoke will have started up in one of the places not filled at the young stage - head, neck, or tail tip
🍃 While the teeth will have slightly elongated, it's the claws that get bonus sharpness points in this age phase. They're starting to get pointy, especially on the thumbs. Because of this, teen Anby's are infamous for their suddenly obtained scratching behavior. Until they learn to manage this new aspect of life, they'll kind of want to scratch the crud out of everything...

💫 2 > Gaunt - Nightling and Standby Elemental only - Youth
A keke becomes skin and bones! Slim down the figure to a bones-jutting-out, kinda spooky level. Despite it's appearance, the owner may not necessarily be in poor health
💫 3 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!

Mini-fangs.pngReflective-eyes.pngSee-through-smoke.png

💫 1 > Mini fangs - Youth
The attached teeth are... really small, actually. They're not totally gone, but you sorta look like a big hatchling now
💫 2 > Reflective eyes - Nightling and Standby Elemental only - Youth
The eyes reflect extra light, making them appear to shine from within like cats' eyes do. The shine may be any color, but note that it won't actually glow or 'leave' the eyes - it's an effect of the pupils themselves!
💫 3 > See-through smoke - Standby Elemental only - Youth
Some or all of the smoke develops transparency. Can affect the whole plume or just parts. This doesn't add smoke to keke without, but can interact with other vapors

🌿 Adult 🌿Standby-adult.png

🍃 An adult's smoke will have filled out, covering all three locations unless upgraded otherwise. They'll also gain slight control over it, being able to vaguely change the direction it drifts, though some individuals will dismiss this as totally useless
🍃 A lot of things have reached their full size: the neck, fangs, claws... The thumb claws are very pointy, but not very useful for grabbing things, as they're not exactly mobile. They're more for stabbing, it seems
🍃 Two tiny spikes will have sprouted just before the tail tuft, matching one or both of the accent colors. As these traditionally only develop in adults, tails are commonly peeked at to see if the person you're talking to is full grown or not. Anbyies generally pride themselves on not doing this to non-Anbyies, but they can occasionally be caught tilting their heads to look for points that aren't there

🌿 Egg 🌿

A green-yellow egg that appears to be made of grass. It glows lightly from within and has floating light motes around it

🍃 Lumi Elemental eggs are called "nightlight eggs" due to the gentle light they produce constantly. This light is behind the shell, so it's quite muted while still being an okayish source of light if you're trying to navigate an area you're familiar with. Like a night
🍃 Shells are made up of calcified strands that bear resemblance to grass. This gives the egg an uneven ribbed texture both inside and out. Very rarely, there can be little pointy bits... be careful!
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

A red Lumi hatchling, standing on their paws and mid naga tail. They stick their tongue out and wink at the camera (emoting a little star)🌿 Hatchling 🌿

🍃 Lumis have long, ribbed ears that point inwards, two-toed paws, and grass growing on the back of their neck, in scraps along the naga tail, and in a tuft on the tip of their tail
🍃 The "grass" on a Lumi is not actually grass at all. Instead, it's very small pillars of specialized dead skin (which keeps it from hurting if it falls off). Now, that may sound horrifying, but...! Bear in mind that hair is just tiny, dead, bendy strands of the same stuff horns are made out of. Hair is actually the worst antlers ever. Your welcome. Anyway, the grass is still called "grass" because that's what it looks like. It's actually quite soft and velvety to touch! Small pets are infamous for loving to sleep on their Elle owner's fuzzy backs
🍃 True to their name, Lumis are quite glowy! They have patches of light on their body that increase in size with age. These patches may emit small moats of light that hatchlings enjoy chasing

🌿 Hatchling Creation 🌿
The image guide for Lumi hatchlings

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here! Ensure your keke has one light patch on the face (or ears or neck), chest (or arms), and naga tail somewhere. These can be interconnected if they end up running into each other. Light patches must be at least a visible size and shouldn't yet be larger than the size of the head. They can have a few "floating" spots (think: like freckles), but don't go ham! All spots can produce a few, small motes if desired
🍂 2: Bases > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet
🍂 3: Accents > Pick one solid color. This goes on the claws and the inner ears. It can optionally be the blood and claw color, too
🍂 4: Grass > Pick one solid color for the mane, tail tuft, and scraps on the back. You can shade this color as you would for grass - just leave a spot/floating bubble of the base color somewhere if it ends up being totally obscured!
🍂 5: Glow > Pick one solid color, then apply this to the light spots, motes (if there are any), tongue/mouth, and eyes. It may optionally be the blood color. Since this color will be glowing, make sure I can see the chosen color on approvals, please! Leave little bit of the glow color uncovered, make a color blob off to the side, etc

A Lumi young with pale orange markings. They stand on one paw and arched tail, hissing and with one paw raised for a fight🌿 Young 🌿

🍃 As they age, a Lumi's light patches increase in size. This increase can be small, but it usually fairly noticable
🍃 The young phase sees the grass tuft on the tail get a little bigger as well as the grass on the back becoming more uniform (though it's still a little bit of a mess). Wheat-like stalks can pop up in any of the grass now
🍃 Despite appearing wheat-like, the cereal that Lumi's grow is generally considered inedible. This is because Lumis grow so little of it that you'd need a whole army of them for a mere cup of flour. Even Lumis themselves tend to let it be! And then there's that bit that it's basically just dead skin... hm....
🍃 Lumis have light magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning light magic if they like
🍃 When using their pouch ability, a Lumi's castoff will appear from their light patches in lieu of cheek pouches

🍃 A youth Lumi's grass and light patches continue to grow, leaving them with a fluffier tail tip and a much more cohesive field of grass on their naga tail
🍃 Being a teenager is slightly strenuous on a Lumi. Their bodies actually put a little too much effort into growing grass and wheat, which would be fine if it didn't end up being brittle and falling out a lot...! Their grass usually doesn't look patchy despite this as evidence for how hard they're working to grow that stuff. By the time they reach adulthood, this process will have thankfully sorted itself out
🍃 While Lumi wheat tastes sort of nutty when used, the cereal they grow during this age phase tastes a little more like woodsmoke... It's often used for kindling over being eaten

💫 2 > Bumper crop - Lumi Elemental only - Youth
Add more wheat-like baubles in the grass. Baubles may be any color, but should not exceed roughly a foot in length. This also allows wheat to be placed in fluffy bits such as fur or hair
💫 3 > Chubby - Youth

Scale-shadow.pngShaped-motes.png26845097-Cahp-Xl5x-Ha-B5-BS4.png

💫 1 > Scale shadow - Lumi Elemental and Subterfewege only - Youth
Add a marking darker than the base color (but otherwise any color) that implies the presence of belly scales. These shadows often resemble the basic keke scales, but can technically take on the appearance of any belly scales as long as they form a single, straight line down the body
💫 2 > Shaped motes - Lumi Elemental only - Youth
Change the shape of the motes coming from the light patches into anything you like! This does not change colors nor add motes, so it won't do anything if added to keke without motes in the first place

🌿 Adult 🌿Lumi-adult-V2-v2.png

🍃 Adult's light patches will grow one more time before finally slowing to a stop. This last growth is often the most drastic change with the most new area converted to light out of all the age phases!
🍃 A Lumi cannot, without upgrades, be 100% light patches. They can come pretty close, but there should still be a blob of them in there somewhere, even if it's small

🍃 Eggshells look like a piece of charcoal, being very lumpy and cracked in appearance. They're usually black or grey colored to match the theme, but seem to be able to be any color if they really want to
🍃 The insides of these eggs smolder gently, keeping the baby inside nice and toasty! It also makes them glow very prettily when they start to crack
🍃 Scented eggs are, like charcoal, somewhat fragile. It doesn't take a lot to knock off shards or little showers of dust. Obviously, if done too much, this could be very bad...! Be sure to keep these eggs somewhere safe
🍃 Babies don't seem to hatch in response to external stimuli. They'll do their time and they'll come out on their own when they're all done in there
🍃 Eggs are not required for approvals! This is just info

🌿 Hatchling 🌿Myrrh-hatchling.png

🍃 Myrrh keke [pronounced "murr"] are somewhat heavyset. They have noticeably thicker necks, arms, and tails than most other keke as well as large paws. They kind of weigh a lot to match!
🍃 The topmost part of a Myrrh is pretty fluffy. They have small triangular ears with visible - but uncolored - inner ears. Their cheek pouches are moved forward to be almost directly under their eyes, leaving their fuzzy jawline exposed. Their manes may not be the most visually impressive, but they are incredibly dense
🍃 The belly scales are a rounded rectangle shape. They make a dashed line on the belly instead of the more common solid row
🍃 On the back of a Myrrh, you'll find two rows of small vents running down the back. There are roughly 2-6 of these on each side. There will also be 2-4 of these on the upper side of the tail tip. At the hatchling phase, these only emit the lightest of scents - not really enough yet to put your finger on what the smell is

🍂 1: Lines > Draw the base for your new Snakekey. Be sure to look at the anatomy examples here!
🍂 2: Base > Pick a base color. It can be any color as long as it's solid. Hatchlings don't have markings yet. The insides of the vents may be any one solid color of your choice. All vents must match
🍂 3: Accents > Pick one solid color. It goes on the cheek pouches, paw pads, and blood
🍂 4: Belly scales > Goes on the belly scales and mouth/tongue. This can be any white, cream, or yellow. In addition, a hatchling's face, tail tip, and/or limbs can be tinged the belly color. This can carry as far as halfway up each area and is an optional feature. Myrrhs are warm-blooded regardless of belly color
🍂 5: Eyes > Eyes can be any color, but only one. By default, Snakekeys do not have visible pupils.

🌿 Rules 🌿

🌱 Regular aging rules apply

🌿 Young 🌿Myrrh-young.png

🍃 A young Myrrh will likely be at least a little bit larger than their peers. While they don't grow to massive sizes, they definitely have a metaphorical leg-up on others
🍃 The length of a Myrrh's fluff doesn't really change much over time! A lot of the time, the change is so minor and slow, it's basically invisible
🍃 At this age, the tail vents will kick into gear! They'll begin to emit a thin trail of visible fumes and their characteristic scent will be more easily identifiable
🍃 While Myrrhs usually have one "main" scent, they can have a "palette" of up to ten! They often use these for different situations and usually have at least one to scare off anything that gets a bit too bitey
🍃 Myrrh keke have heat magic auto-unlocked at the young phase! They can begin learning heat magic if they like

🌿 Young Creation 🌿

Myrrh-young-aging-guide.png

🍂1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples shown here
🍂 2: Base > Snakekeys get their bases as hatchlings - this step is done and you can move on!
🍂 3: Design > Adding a design is optional. You can use 1-2 of any color to add smoke-like markings to the base. These can be wispy outlines, squiggly lines, swirling gradients... pretty much anything as long as it looks like smoke! Be sure you've removed belly color tingeing if your Snakekey had any - they've grown out of it
🍂 4: Fumes > The base fume color will match your accent color. You can optionally add 1 or 2 colors to add little "ember" dots inside the fumes and/or make a gradiented/blobbed color shift. The colors you use should be either the same type as the fume color (eg pink embers for pink fumes) or an analogous color of the fumes (basically the color right next to your base on the color wheel. If your fumes were red, your analogous colors would be pink and orange. Sites like this can help, if needed! Just make sure to set the color combination type to "analogous")

🌿 Youth 🌿Myrrh-youth.png

🍃 By the youth phase, a Myrrh's tail vents will be in full gear! The plume of gas they emit will be full-sized
🍃 The vents on the back will now begin producing gas, though the fumes these emit are tiny and fitful for now... They may not even be big enough to show the color variation seen in tail plumes!
🍃 Myrrh youth upgrades tend to very wispy and... well, smelly. While their plumes may look pretty, they're still going to be smelling like something. As a youth Myrrh may struggle with control over their scent range or even gain some new scents in this phase, they can accidentally repulse their peers. They don't necessarily smell bad, just... so much...

🌿 Youth Creation 🌿

🍂 1: Lines > Start by drawing the base image for your keke. Be sure to follow the anatomy examples show here
🍂 2: Design > We've already done this and you're ready to go!

Once the approval's over, they have full access to these any time they wish (excepting on younger stages, of course). Note that a youth will always have to have a minimum of one of these and it can't just be removed after the approval process

Baited-breath.png26845013-a-KTyappg-X18xlx7.png26845022-z-Lsi9i-WE6l-H7-L1a.png

💫 1 > Baited Breath - Myrrh Elemental only - Youth
Fumes start coming out of the keke's mouth! These may be any color and scent. They'll dissipate if they get much further than two feet from the keke, sometimes sooner

26845025-7-B6-O9p-Jj-QNc-Ob1q.pngDrifting-mane.pngElemental-vents.png

💫 1 > Color points - Youth
A.k.a. the belly color tingeing that hatchlings have is either resurfacing or appearing for the first time on your Snakekey. Same rules apply: it can be on the face, arms, and tail, going a max of halfway up each. However, it can now be any color
💫 2 > Drifting mane - Myrrh Elemental only - Youth
The very tips of the mane fur start producing fumes, which makes the mane look like it's converting to gas! Sort of. These added plumes may be any color, but should remain pretty short unless upgraded otherwise. Does not apply to any areas besides the mane by default
💫 3 > Elemental vents - Equinox and Enchanted only - Youth
Small openings in the skin that display a Nox or Enchanted breed's element in any way that makes sense (ie fire can have flames, smoke, sparks...). Vents will not emit a significant of output. So, a wind-elemental will not put out so much wind that it blows others away. Output may be any color

Fume-sputters.png26845087-UK9tmu8ik-ODxjo-N.pngHefty-fumes.png

💫 1 > Fume sputters - Myrrh Elemental only - Youth
The vents are getting pretty temperamental... The gas that comes out of them is sometimes fitful or even explosive! This can make some loud noise, but is otherwise pretty harmless. Does not change color. If applied to a keke without fumes, this can apply to any other vapor they may have. Otherwise, this upgrade won't be noticeable
💫 2 > Growth spurt - Youth
Typically a sign of an oncoming reach morph. Allows a keke to be taller than average for their age. Nothing crazy, though!
💫 3 > Hefty fumes - Myrrh Elemental only - Youth
Instead of drifting up, some or all of a Myrrh's fumes instead spill downwards and pool on the ground before dissipating. Does not change colors. If applied to a keke without fumes, this can apply to any other vapor they may have. Otherwise, this upgrade won't be noticeable

🌿 Adult 🌿Myrrh-Adult.png

🍃 Thankfully, adult Myrrhs are quite in control of their scent range. It's a good thing, too! They'll be making more fumes now than ever
🍃 All of the vents on the back will have begun to produce fairly sizeable plumes. These may share coloration with the tail gas or just be their base solid color
🍃 Now that their control is maximized, adult Myrrhs can "turn off" their scent and plumes for a limited time. This bears resemblance to holding their breath, so you usually won't see more than five minutes. Very talented adults may be able to go ten minutes scentless!
🍃 These keke are fairly bulky and heavy. They can be imposing, but are more often likened to big teddy bears
