Welcome to the design guide for AffTaff! Here we will show you the do's and don't-s of making your very own Affi!

You can find the general information of this species here.
You can find the list of Mutations here.
Having trouble designing a friend? You can find our official bases here!

AffTaff Horns:
-All Afftaffs have brightly colored horns on their heads, the shape of which is up to you. However they should stay short enough to not cause mobility issues (like not fitting through doors and the like) and must always be present on their heads.

-These horns can have a max of 4 colors and must match the color of your Affi's mouth/heat pits (accent colors are allowed but should not be the dominant color)

-An Affi's horns must be symmetrical and always come in pairs.

-Horns can NOT be dull/de-saturated colors. (barring albinism and melanism mutations)

Heat Pits:

- All Afftaffs have heat pits present on their body, they are localized beneath their eyes and on their chest. These heat pits are MANDATORY, and should be symmetrical.
Heat pits can only be in the pink areas.
Affis can have a minimum of 4 heat pits (one on each cheek and two on the chest), and a maximum of 5 per area

-The color of the heat pits must match an Afftaff's paw pads.

Base Colors:
-An AffTaff's base color used to dictate what biome they live in. This has become largely redundant as space travel became more normalized.
Cold-biome (blue-purple range) AffTaff might suffer on Yahbri however, due to their preference to colder areas. These are slightly more rare (but do not require any additional items to be made.)

-AffTaff markings should stay simple, and can not form complex animal-like patterns (e.g: no jaguar print/no tiger stripes). If your patterns look like they could be found on an animal in the wild, it is not allowed on an Affi at this time.

-AffTaff markings also can not have clearly readable text, markings are allowed to be vaguely letter-like, but can not form clear words. AffTaff markings also can not be clearly based on copyrighted material.

-Gradient markings are okay!

 - An AffTaff's colors need to stay within the proper saturation range. (that is not crossed out)

- The part of the guide marked as 1 applies only to an AffTaff's horns. the part marked as 2 applies to the base color and markings. These are the two guides you should stick to when creating an Affi.
The 3rd example range is only for Affis affected by Albinism, and can only have colors picked from that range.

  • AffTaff Senses:

  • -All AffTaffs have yellow sclera (eye-whites). The saturation of the yellow can differ, but must still be noticably yellow-toned.

- An AffTaff's pupils are similar to that of a cuttlefish, with a noticable wave-like shape. The color of the pupils is generally a darker color of the iris color.

-An AffTaff can have up to 5 pairs of eyes. All eyes are localized in the same area on the face. Mis-matched eyes are A-okay, such as having one side of the face having three eyes, and the other having only one eye.

-An AffTaff has three noticable sets of ears, the size and lenght is up to you, but there must be a clear distinction between each of the ears

-An AffTaff has a small rabbit-like nose.

Tails (optional):

- Some AffTaffs have tails, and can have up to five tails max.

-An Affi's tail can be a maximum of their body height in length, and a minimum of a hand.

- A tail must connect as it would on a regular anthro, on the lower back. It can be styled however you want.

-A tail can be both skin or fluffy, or a combination of the two. A tail must be organic, and can not be made of inanimate materials (e.g: no lava, no metals)
