yeah yeah I know I don't need another draw thread but omg I had this idea and I just had to run with it!

RULE CHANGES

To try and counter various problems people have been complaining about from certain users in them submitting low effort art or claiming far too often, the following rule changes have been made:

❤ You can only claim once per page, instead of every 3 people. There are some exceptions to this which you can read in the rules below.
❤ All pieces must be at minimum a half body drawing and must be colored.
❤ You must finish your piece within a month. If more then a month has gone by and you have not contacted me or the person who you owe art to to give a valid reason, you will be immediately banned without any further discussion.

These changes have also been edited into the actual rules below, but I wanted to make this update notice here so nobody can see they didn't see the changes being put into place.

Welcome to the Toyhouse Convention, all you lovely characters out there! This is a place to leave any genres at the door and all convene together for one truly rad purpose, cosplay! For those who are unfamiliar with the term (is there anyone that is? who knows, better safe then sorry, haha) Cosplay is where you dress up as a character from popular media (such as anime, cartoons, games, comic books, etc etc.) 

For this drawing forum game, we'll be delving into the oh so fun world of cosplay...with our characters!

This means you'll be drawing a character for the person who posts above you cosplaying a character from popular media.

Here's some examples I've done in the past, in case you need some visual idea of what is going on: 

Jeanette Cosplaying as Utena / Lydia cosplaying as Zelda / Malasia cosplaying as Queen Etheria

Now you can do this one of two ways. 

❤ Post up to 3 characters, as well as what media icons they would most likely cosplay as (be sure to include links to these media icons for those who may not be familiar with them!) and the person who claims you can choose one of those options
❤ Post up to 3 characters, BUT leave it up to the person who claims you who to draw them as! Be it a media icon your character reminds them of, a media icon they just think your character would look good at, or hell, a character that is completely opposite your character and they think it'd be amusing to dress them up as! Skies the limits! Only choose this option if you're completely ok with what they may end up drawing your character dressed up as!

Can Change

❤ Hair style, color, and length. Cause you know, wigs/dye/etc exist.
❤ Eye color and if they wear glasses or not. cause contacts exist. If your char wears glasses or wouldn't be able to wear contacts (such as they have a astigmatism) please note that in your post so the person knows to not change this aspect.
❤Clothing, obviously. Wouldn't be much of a cosplay if that wasn't changed!

❤ Natural skin tones. No changing a white character to a black one or vice versa. AKA no white washing or black facing allowed. On the other hand, changing their skin to a non-natural color is fine, as that's something that's generally acceptable in the cosplay community (as in changing it to blue, purple, green, etc, since body paints and stuff exist.) just no changing any character with 'natural' human skin tones, please.
❤ Ears, horns, tails, extra limbs, etc. Remember this is the character dressing up as the media icon, not BECOMING the media icon, so they'd still have the same facial and body features even in cosplay.
❤ Body shape/height/weight - No making a tall skinny char short and curvy or vice versa. As above, they are dressing up as the media icon, not becoming them, so they would still have the same body in costume as they do out of it.
❤ Species specific traits - this is kinda similar to ears/horns/tails/etc I know, but I feel it bears extra mention. This is anything that's specific to the race itself (such as the perma-stockings of the dainties, for instance) I will ONLY enforce this rule though if you make sure to mention in your post if something is race specific, since not everyone may know what is and isn't specific to your chars race and may leave it out if they don't know.
❤ Anything the poster asks you not to change. If they want a certain article of clothing/accessory/etc included in the cosplay because it's something the character would never take off even for this, then please respect that. Again, I will only enforce this if you make sure to include it in your post.

❤ post to claim the person above you and edit the post once you finish (do not make a new post). Also it's usually nice to PM the person as well.
❤ Only one claim at a time and you can only claim once per page. The only exception to this is if 24 hours has passed and nobody has claimed the last person, then you may claim again if you've finished your piece. This includes if you have multiple accounts, you can still only claim once a page, if you are caught using another account to get more claims then that, you will be banned.
❤ Can only post max of 3 chars for people to choose from. Keep in mind all what was posted above.
❤ Put good effort into your piece. You don't have to be the best artist ever, but you should at least put your all into your piece, colored pieces only no sketches. Trad or Digital both are fine. Must be at least a halfbody as well, no headshots allowed!
❤ Be thankful for the art you receive, no matter the skill level of the person. A small thank you can go a long way :)
❤ Pieces must be finished within a month from when they were claimed. We all understand things can happen and if you have a valid reason to be later then that please contact me and/or the person you owe art and an extension can be made, but if a month has gone by and there has been no contact you will be immediately banned.
❤ Do not put any monetary value on the art, this goes both to the person who drew it and the person it was drawn for if you ever sell your char do not add an added cost to the sale for this art.
❤ Since posts can be deleted now, it needs to be said that if you are caught deleting a thread to get out of a claim you will be AUTOMATICALLY BANNED from now only this game but any other forum games I currently also run or will run in the future.
❤ Also, since we can no longer see blocked users, just to make sure there isn't any confusion, please add the name of the user you are drawing for in your claim (you don't have to ping them, just post their name is enough).

Has it been a month (or longer) and you haven't heard hide nor tail of the person who claimed you? Feel free to let me know and I can contact them, or post your unfinished claim on this thread and someone might be able to help!

Quixotica as Princess Iris from Lolirock or Miwako from Paradise Kiss (doesn't have to be that outfit, if you wanna look through pics of her to draw a diff one that's fine.)
