"Well," Scarlet tried to talk, but he was speechless. Was this really... supposed to be a meal? Was that his intention? For one thing, he didn't drink whiskey. It was much too hard of a drink for his taste. For another thing, the meat.. Was it steak? Beef? Chicken? He couldn't even tell what it was because of how burnt it was. The biggest question on his mind was is this edible? In some sense, it could've been. But he wasn't sure if it was even worth the calories. Actually, no. Simply put, it wasn't.
The servant cleared his throat, pushing the plate and glass away from himself. "My apologies," he started, "Perhaps it'd be better if I cooked, or maybe I could guide you on how to make the meal you were intending to prepare." He kept a careful eye on Rivers' face, wondering how he'd react to hearing that. Was that harsh? Well, even if it was, he felt like it had to be said. He couldn't force himself to eat food that he knew he wouldn't like.
He stood up from his chair, letting himself into the kitchen. Whether Rivers decided to follow him or not was up to him, but he didn't mind giving him a cooking lesson if he wanted it. The plate he had received was left untouched, along with a whiskey glass that was still full.

NP: "Master Ferilys is quite the picky eater, but he eats what I make no matter what I put in it. According to him, I'm the only one who can make 'disgusting foods taste good.' Not only that, there are other people that consider me to be the best chef in the land. Bragging? Me? No, I didn't mean to do such a thing... Hmhm, or maybe I did. Perhaps you can tell me if I have the right to do so," a smile appeared on his face as he set down multiple plates and trays that were filled with food. He had prepared a full on feast featuring different meats, soups, salads, and desserts. There was no way one person could eat it all.
"Please enjoy."
He pretty much made something along the lines of this, minus the fruits and vegetables thrown everywhere.

v "Do not worry about it," Scarlet's smile returned as he started removing the empty plates. "Cleaning is my job. However, if you'd like to help, I won't stop you."
He was honestly surprised at the amount of food that was left. There was less than he thought there'd be. Not in a bad way, of course. Food is meant to be eaten, after all. It was just a huge compliment to the chef. Even when he'd prepare food for the whole manor (5 people including him), there were always leftovers. He didn't mind the mess that was made or the improper table manners, but he knew he had to clean up before someone who did care (cough) came along.
"You're free to join us for meals as long as Master Ferilys doesn't mind.." he continued to go back and forth collecting plates and dishes, "..Which I'm sure he won't. Just make sure you don't drink the wine before he gets to it."
