If you have concerns about a character you are GETTING, DM me so that I can contact them. If you accept the character, you are accepting it as being worth what you put in-- it is not my responsibility to replace a character you got in this thread after you accepted it, and I reserve the right to tell you not to send that character back in if the person you are attempting to send it to contacts me and it clearly does not meet the requirements. FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE REQUIREMENTS AND YOU SHOULD BE FINE.
So there's a random "give a character to the person above you" thread, and there's one for HQ characters only-- here's those concepts married!
You already know how this thread concept works. Stake a claim, specify whether you're OK with receiving NSFW/gore, and then send a character to the last person who posted. Please pay attention to the rules below to make sure your character is a good fit! (Some rules shamelessly gacked from the two threads linked above)
1. Forms are not allowed on this thread. The only thing you may specify is whether you're OK with getting a character that has gore/NSFW; you can also add any applicable phobias or triggers that you're really nervous of getting. Example: I'm trypophobic.
2. All characters traded must be of a high quality. This means something with detail, no five-minute designs, nothing made on dollmakers, preferably no bases but high-quality base-work is allowed. Basically something nice, properly lined and fully-coloured, maybe shaded. Use your discretion. Don't put in any characters that you wouldn't consider to have value. Characters you submit should be in at least the rough $10-$15 range in terms of value. Definitely don't send something that has a low purchase price on the image itself. No thumbnails-only. Try to avoid sending anything you made yourself, to avoid a conflict of interests. To see a quality of characters that would be good to send, see some examples at the bottom.
3. Characters in this thread must come with a full body reference. That means feet up, not thigh up, and the legs shouldn't be gathered under the character. Do not put characters in that only have a head reference or half-body reference. The reference image should be drawn in good quality, and not be a low resolution. If the ref is the only image, a chibi probably will not cut it in terms of quality.
4. If you don't like the character you get, send it back in! Only PM me if you receive a character that doesn't follow the rules. If you do send a character back in, please be sure to check the transfer history to keep from sending it to the same person twice. Also don't put apologies or rude messages about the design in the message; you should only send something you think a random person would like to get anyway.
5. Wait two posts before posting in this thread again! Example: [ 1 ] [ X ] [ X ] [ 2 ] Do not claim the same person more than once in a six-hour period.
6. Do not hide your posts in this thread. If you must eliminate your post, edit the message to say you're backing out as applicable. Once you stake your claim, you have 24 hours to send your character. Because this thread deals with characters of a higher value, not sending a character to the previous person is a first and final offense which will get you banned from the thread until you send the character you owe.
7. No bigotry will be tolerated. No slurs, no clearly offensive characters (racist caricatures, "traps", etc), and so on. I'm sure that won't be a problem, though~

These designs are thoughtful and detailed; some of them come with extra art, but those that do not include an image that is detailed and a good reference.
These are examples of what is not good to send (same disclaimer):
[ X - a nice design, but the reference image is pretty small and didn't take long - not likely to have cost $10 - extra art would make it valuable enough]
[ X - despite having extra art, the design is really simple and would probably only cost some points ]
[ X - this design is cute, but the image is chibi and undetailed, not a great ref image ]
