Fyre was writing about feminism and race from the perspective of an American. In America, the racial makeup of society is highly segregated and has a specific history. However, it's possible that this could narrow the scope of the work too heavily, since other groups and societies have other structures of power and other racial makeups. Is Fyre's analysis limited because it is not as applicable to countries such as China? Or is the limited and personalized focus on American specific perspectives valuable enough in how personal it is to make up for its American cultural blinders?
