⬇️ Will Wood and his old band with The Tapeworms. He makes Indie Alternative Rock music, but its also been called "Evil Jazz". His older songs do have a lot of screaming tho! I recommend the Normal Album as it's my fav. I have a lot of favorite songs like Love Me Normally, Front Street, BlackBoxWarrior, 6Up 5Oh, Thermodynamic Lawyer, Becoming The Lastnames, The song with 5 names and a lot more!
Lemon Demon a.k.a Neil Cicerega. Also makes Indie music!! I love his Spirit Phone album the most. He's also the guy who made The Potter Puppet Pals, The Ultimate Showdown of Ultimate Destiny and made the song "Goat and a Pig" in Gravity Falls. Basically an Internet Legend. I recommend Touch Tone Telephone, Cabinet Man, Two Trucks (ITS THE FUNNIEST SONG EVER) and Modify!
One of Tally Hall's members made an Album called Miracle Musical! But It's more on the peaceful side. My favs are Murders, The Mind Electric and Dream Sweet in Sea Major
Jack Stauber. He makes abstract "micropop" songs! Really has that kinda weirdcore aesthetic, but also super good! Has many extended songs and Baby Hotline, Two Time and Tea Errors are some of my favs
Have you got into Lostwave or unknown songs that are yet to be identified? If you have no idea what Lostwave is, "Like the Wind" is a famous example, which the identity of the band is still not found
Have you had to redesign your characters often or did you land their first style get up? Like, did you experiment a lot to catch the vibe of their clothing or were you happy with the first result?
At first, yes, mostly because of the overall setting or I found a better idea than their old outfit. I have some OCs that have clothing redesigns, My examples are mostly my characters within the House of Phantoms characters. Sotiris used to have a more classic victorian vampire goth look when I initially made him until I changed it to something more ripped and DIY, which I find it more fitting for someone who has involved in the punk and anarchist scene. Alkinoos also falls this category since the first outfit I made for them was this one, until I thought that it looked cumbersome to wear it after searching how to wear the type of outfit. Which he had to wear a lot of layers of clothing, so I changed that variant outfit to the more deathrock or dark academia aligned outfit as his main outfits. Forgot to mention, her hair was given more floof compared to the old design I made drawn pen and ink. Chrysanthe used to have more crust punk look but I decided it to give her more deathrock goth look, so she can go well within the goth band she is in along with others. Athanasios used to have a coat but turned it into a jacket instead, but still retains some elements of his old outfit. Archimedes was supposed to have more punk design as well but I went to mix techwear and witch aesthetics to his cauldron instead, which I find it more fitting to his character being not into looking at one's image?
However, there are actually a lot of OCs clothes I have that I settled once I gave them outfits. Examples like I liked the idea of having someone dressed up like it was 19th century in cyberpunk future, someone with romantic goth outfit and darkwear outfit offstage, and more interesting but experimental ideas.
Though, nowadays, I actually have to look up around clothes or aesthetics around the internet, and maybe write their short info about the character first before designing the character itself. Once I figured out what setting they are in and what personality and bits of info the character have. That would give me more ideas how I'll gonna give the character clothes. This process usually end up as the "first result" regarding their outfit, then I'll think of another variations after wards. I usually gravitate myself to more alternative and dark styles such as goth (both music based and fashion based ones), punk, heavy metal, techwear, and all that, but I also fine with doing styles outside what I'm used to do. The frequency of redesigning got lessened but my urge of having lots of outfit ideas get more.
Overall, I like experimenting a lot of outfit styles for them until I'll pick one what's going to be their "main outfits", since I tend to make outfit variants to make them feel realistic where people change clothes everyday. Even I make illustrations and art for my OCs, I actually change their clothes a lot but still retain their main style and aesthetic.
