Little bump to let y'all know that I've edited the post with a brand new MYO guidelines image, and some more info about the Vops themselves!

Vops are a space-faring species of nomads, altho some bands of Vops have been known to settle down. They're generally driven by curiosity, whether it's exploring a new place, learning new things, meeting new people; altho that also means they sometimes do things just to see what will happen, whether it's a good idea or not.
This is a semi-open species because I'd like to keep track of them. All you need to do for a free MYO is post in the thread saying you're going to make one, and then showing me your finished Vop! Don't forget to list off all the traits you use so I can check you've been following the Guidelines :P
Now, go make some Vops, and have fun!

| There is no singular Vop culture, as it varies greatly between bands, and along with their new discoveries. Vop settlers each have their own culture depending on where they come from and where they've settled, and Vop loners or families that have integrated with other cultures simply share theirs. Feel free to worldbuild whatever you want for them!A commonality among all of them, though, is that they love to accumulate, whether it be things, knowledge, anything you can think of! | Vops are humanoids, covered in skin with tufts of feathers in different spots of their bodies (often shoulders, elbows, chest, etc...), and their ears are either a earhole hidden by feathers, or broad and fleshy. Some can be born with tails, horns, and wings, and it's unclear how much of these traits are archaic remnants or come from breeding with other species. As such, they also display a seemingly infinite variety of color schemes, and their pupils can take on many shapes. They have no nose, as they do not require to breathe. They are mainly carnivorous, but can adopt different diets. |

| FREE Any body type, color scheme, teeth, clothing, and Common Traits. Up to 5 Uncommon Traits OR 3 Uncommon Traits and 1 Rare Trait. PAID - $6 (aka 2 kofi) Any body type, color scheme, teeth, clothing, and any combination of Common, Uncommon and Rare Traits. Legendary Traits are accessible through Events, random designs I've made and put to sale, or commissioning me a Vop design. | You are allowed to use Vops in any way, shape or form, as long as you don't use them commercially (although I am open to it, talk to me about it). The exception to this rule is reselling a Vop design you've bought before, and never over the original price tag. In any case, you must always credit AND link me as the species creator, either to this thread or my profile. |

I'm personally (with a friend) working on a visual novel involving a Vop planetary empire hosting an intergalactic game show, altho I have no idea when I'll ever finish it. Development is slow (writing isn't my strong suit).

FIRST NEWS! I've edited a couple little things on the Guidelines, nothing major beyond a new legendary trait (Winged ears) and a few text adjustments for clarity.
SECOND NEWS! Two Legacy Slots are back for grabs, on a first come first served basis! As a reminder, these slots allow you to make a free Vop without any trait restrictions, so go wild! It's a thank you for early supporters of the species ^^
THIRD NEWS! Three Legendary Slots will be available through a giveaway I'm doing thru January 2021! To enter, simply reply to this thread that you do, and I'll add your name to a list. Once February ticks over, I'll pick three names with a random generator and voilà! These Legendary Slots allow you to make a free Vop with any one (1) Legendary trait, and as many other traits as you wish.
AND FINALLY... I'm opening a Vop-centric RP group: Vop Hyperspace! As is the varied nature of Vops, I envision this group as collaborative worldbuilding, as you can create any location you desire for your RPs! The universe is vast, so anything is possible! And despite being Vop-centric, you can RP as any species, as interacting with other aliens is part of the Vop experience! I hope you'll enjoy it! If not, well that's okay, I'll probably end up RPing with myself on here regardless :')

ASLDKj i forgot about this thread entirely until I got the ping, but a legacy slot sounds like a cool way to get me to design something I normally wouldn't! Do we just ask for one? If so, it might be fun to design one! I dunno wot i'd do with them after but it sounds like a neat challenge

I love the idea of a rp group too! I hope all goes well in that regard, worldbuilding is essential for species like these. Looking forwards to seeing what you guys come up with from that.
