Originally supposed to last until the 7th, I decided to cross-post on TH as suggested by another mod, and extend the deadline until the 15th so that people can still claim a slot and be part of our growing, chill community!

What is a Technoctem?
Technoctems (TN's for short) are a species of winged, bird-like humanoids who live on the planet Anhemyte, a heavily cyberpunk world where technology is advanced enough to allow for space travel.
They have control over two different kinds of power: Vibration or Discharge.
As a species, Technoctems are nocturnal and work / live most of their life during nighttime, while they sleep during the day.
Technoctems don't have a rarity, however they have free and special traits that make them varied and different.
What is this event about?
During this event, you're free to grab a regular MYO slot from the Technoctem Species!
The species is normally closed and the only way to earn a MYO slot is by purchasing a design, a MYO slot from the dedicated journal, or by winning one during a raffle held in the discord server.
For the whole duration of this event, the MYO purchases will remain closed and will open once it's over.
Joining the group is required in order to get a MYO slot, but aside from that you're free to follow the canon lore or not once you have created your character.
Additionally, during this three weeks time period, as a way of thanking the community and sharing some holiday spirit around during this difficult year, we've added a bit of a special bonus.

!!! Join the group if you have deviantArt! That's the most basic requirement !!!
- Share this event around through a journal, a status, a TH bulletin! Tweets are also okay, since dA is... well, what it is -
- Make a comment stating that you'd like to claim a MYO slot, with the journal / poll / comment linked! -
That's it! You've gotten yourself a MYO slot!
- Tagging two friends will earn you two special add-ons -
- Joining the discord server will earn you a third special add-on! -
So the most you can get is a single MYO slot with three special Add-Ons!
BONUS
If you draw / write something featuring one of the uploaded or approved Technoctem (they must belong to someone else!), you'll be able to grab one of these exclusive traits from the Nyctocredit currency shop (wingless and Special Power are exclused from this bonus)!
These traits are normally locked unless you use the in-group currency, so don't miss this chance!

The rules for the bonus are as follow:
- Complete the bonus by the 15th of January! This gives you a week to have the art done -
- Artwork should be at least a coloured sketch -
- Written work should be 500 words minimum -
We will eventually have a TH world set up as well, and I'll publish it as soon as it's coded and everything.

What Now?
Now that you've claimed a slot, it's time to design!
Make sure you read the Species Information Journal and the Terms of Service - there's a cooldown period in case you decide to trade your Technoctem, so make sure to read everything!
Due to deviantArt's new journal interface making it pretty much impossible to see the traits, everything has been transferred to a Google Drive document.
