Overview

The world of the Valos is eastern North America Central America about 1,500 years in the future, now called Amrika. Much is the same as we know it now, with forests, mountains, plains, swamps, but the rivers have shifted, the coastline is changed, and areas that suffered the worst of the last war of mankind are barely recovering wastelands. Cities have fallen into ruin and returned to nature, save what was recovered and reused by the Valos. Of the West, no one knows.

There are only two cities in Amrika, Manhattan and Tataheca, both built from the ruins of pre-existing cities. Manhattan is the larger of the two in population and urbanization, with Tataheca covering more land but more reminiscent of one large town. Manhattan, as it's name implies, was founded on the ruins of its predecessor and the Valos made use of it's skyscrapers. Tataheca made use of even older ruins, building among the remains of Teotihuacan. It is newer than Manhattan, which was the original settlement site of the Valos. Those living in the cities maintain an agricultural society. Any other settlements of Amrika are small villages, as the majority of the Valos are nomadic hunter/gatherers.
