Zenith (General info)

Having concluded testing for project Fernsol and created the ideal subject, the superiors at NADIR gave instruction to get rid of the rest of the subjects. Their consciousness was uploaded onto drives and their bodies were disposed of. They were sent to a high security storage facility for safe keeping in case something happened to the chosen subject.

And something did in fact happen to her. She managed to escape, but they had again planned ahead. Just in case, they had gotten what they would need to replicate her abilities, and had a way to prevent her causing problems for them in the future

This was about 8 years before the game takes place

The project was put on pause for a few years, but was resumed about 4 years before the game.

At that time, the superiors searched through the records to find a subject they'd easily be able to break and force into loyalty.

They pulled the subject that is now known as Fernsol. They made her a new body based on one particularly powerful Ferna they had encountered in the past, and gave her the abilities developed by her predecessor.

They also pulled one other subject, a male Ferna whom "Fernsol" had fallen in love with (and vice versa) during their time as test subjects.

They used him as a bargaining chip, claiming that if she was obedient, they would let them stay together, and that if she resisted, they would get rid of him permanently

Not wanting any harm to come to him, she obeyed them
