Twisted Wing

fun fact: the 'what once was / can never be again' in xhinnas link w/ nix is actually referencing a very old eastern poem about either the pointlessness of continuing to live a life without the desire to, or of wandering out into the far outlands (nobody's quite sure which is which). most of it's been lost or modified over the centuries, and only the last few stanzas remain; 'what once was, can never be again' has also become an eastern saying, though many don't know the context or deeper meaning behind it, just that it's referring to futility.

Their pitiful fate, a miserable glow
Snuffed out, they buried their bones in the snow.
What once was, can never be again
For the storm takes everything back, in the end.

legend of the ghasts, as told to cerca by his dead mom lol
