Nuzlocke Notes (Diego)
This is a Little Cup nuzlocke, a ruleset I came up with to challenge myself (though I highly doubt it or things like it haven't been done before)
The rules are simple: I’m only allowed to catch and use the basic forms of Pokémon, no X items, and no Eviolite. Baby Pokémon don’t count, those are okay to ‘grow up’
As for encounter rules, it’s the first Pokémon that meets the requirements on a route. Eventually I’ll run out of non-evolved Pokémon encounters so I need what I can get
Start -> Grand Underground
Twinleaf Town:
- Received Serenity (female Blaze Chimchar)
Route 201:
- Caught Starbright (female Keen Eye Starly)
Verity Lakefront:
- Caught Bucky (male Unaware Bidoof)
Route 202:
- Caught Kimba (male Intimidate Shinx)
Route 218:
- Caught Riptide (male Swift Swim Magikarp)
Route 203:
- Caught Mirror (male Synchronize Abra)
Oreburgh Gate:
- Caught Sphere (female Sturdy Geodude)
- Sent Riptide to the box, added Sphere to the team. Have fun in the beach box buddy
Oreburgh Mine
- Caught Trace (female Inner Focus Zubat)
- Swapped out Starbright for Trace because she is NOT allowed in this gym and Trace has Absorb
Oreburgh Gym
- Trace died to a Headbutt (not a rock type move like I was half expecting) from Cranidos
- Surprisingly it was Sphere with Rollout who really came in clutch here. Should’ve left Sphere in and not switched to Trace when Roark was sending in the Cranidos
- Put Starbright back on the team
Route 204
- Caught Thistle (male Natural Cure Budew)
Ravaged Path
- There are only three Pokémon in Ravaged Path, two of which I already have. And of course it’s the 2% chance Psyduck that I don’t :/
- Okay I give up. I’ll come back later if I don’t get a water type on Route 205
Route 205
- Encountered a female Pachirisu, time to reroll
- Next encounter was Gloria (female Swift Swim Buizel) though so yay, no Psyduck grinding for me unless something really horrible happens
- Swapped Mirror for Gloria
Eterna Forest
- Encountered Silcoon and Budew; can’t use either so kill and reroll
- A pair of male Wurmple this time, caught Sticks (male Shield Dust Wurmple) and we’re moving on
