Letters to Home

My dear friend Aislinn! I hope this letter finds you well, and swiftly if I have the good fortune to find one of our folk to deliver this!

I’ve finally come close to an end of traveling, at least for a short time. My new friends and I will soon be arriving at Shiverstead to help the ones who live there. War has not been kind to them, but that's what we're here for!

Although I had hoped I would grow accustomed to the cold I have yet to do so. I hold hope that it will happen yet! I am at least filled with glad feelings to know I’ve met lovely people and have seen many new things as of late!

Today as of writing, we had an encounter with these strange Willowisps. Do you know what those are? I have a vague sense of familiarity but alas, the knowledge has failed to be recollected. They were swiftly eradicated and will no longer be a problem in any case!

My friends have told me so many things. I’m learning so much! Their bodies are extremely complicated, especially compared to how we are. I did my very best to understand. They have so many pieces that work inside their bodies to make them function, I do not know how they manage. It strikes at least one of my friends as odd that I am so happy, although I haven’t the slightest idea as to why. There’s simply so much to be happy about! I’m sure they’ll see that too.

I wish you happiness as well! I do wish you could send letters of your own, but given my constant traveling, I know it would be too hard a task to ask one of our folk to track me down on a constant basis! You’ll just have to tell me of your own adventures once I return home!
