"How did I evolve?" Dame tilted her head. "I dunno, it's kind of hard to remember…"

Prim snorted. "Hard to remember? It happened yesterday!"

"Just because it was recent doesn't mean–"

"I'll answer for her," Prim informed the noir sylveon watching them. "It was because she loves me."

"Prim, I barely like you most days." Dame put one of her long black tendrils on Prim's face. "What actually happened was that Prim helped me out, proving that she wasn't all annoying, and because I had recently used a fairy-type move–ow!"

She yanked the tendril out of Prim's mouth. The pure-white eevee took a step back to avoid Dame batting at her. "Dame was so moved by my noble efforts to get her ribbon back, that the love she felt–"

"We aren't even friends!"

"Such a pure display of emotion! They could write sonnets about us!"

"It's not gonna happen, Prim!"

"I know, Dame, because as much as it pains me to say it, I do not feel the same way. How it breaks my heart to reject you!"

"Shut up! Shut up! You're an annoying little brat!"

Sorbet watched the sylveon and eevee bicker and reached down to pick up the fallen questionnaire. Under the final question, Sorbet wrote, "Prefer not to answer," and walked away.
